APPEARANCE: Slightly hazy, golden/orange-ish color. Thin head, maybe a quarter inch, but very well organized bubbles. Thin, but high columns of lace line the glass from top to bottom and seem to add a bit of prestige to the beer.
SMELL: Smells exactly like an IPA should. Strong floral aroma with slight hoppiness and a hint of citrus.
TASTE: Normally excessive malt is too sweet for me, but this beer begins with a IPA-like hoppy, floral flavor and quickly morphs into a delicious, bitter, malty finish. Although calling it a finish might be a bit unfair, the malty bitterness seems to kick in fairly early in the sip. The one thing that ties the front and back end together though is a mild smokiness throughout.
FEEL: The first two words that come to mind in regards to taste with the Double Trouble are light and flirty. This beer is flirting with my tongue. Very bubbly and alive for the entire sip. A fun beer.
OVERALL: There seem to be some distractions at first, but the reality is, this beer is all about the bitterness. The first couple of sips mask the bitter flavor with floral scents and flavors, but as you get deeper into Double Trouble it becomes apparent that the hops are the star of the show and they are bitter. Not an easy drinkin' beer, but a fantastic beer for a hop head.

Bottle > Pint Glass
A - Pours a really nice yellow color with a finger of soapy white head, mid range lacing.
S - Very floral in aroma with some nice pineapple and lime hints.
T - The floral and pine hit you first, and then you get a nice touch of some ripe pineapple and a touch of honey, some real balanced light malt and a touch of dankness as it finishes.
M - Kind of cloyingly sweet at first, but fades to a nice bitter end.
O - This is a very well done Double IPA, crisp and fresh flavors, but a bold brew by all means. A must have for IPA lovers.
