Orange, one finger head did not last long. It's fairly cloudy and with a small amount of carbonation.
I smell grapefruit, pepper, and as it warms it starts to smell more sweet, I think it's honey I'm detecting.
I get a very nice citrus like hop flavor that is not overpowering. It's hoppy for sure but not mouth puckeringly (is this a word) hoppy. The hoops are balanced quite nicely with a toasty, bready malt backbone. Also, like the aroma I'm picking up a peppery flavor.
Medium bodied and mouth coating. As mentioned before there is a wonderful balance between hops and malts. It leaves a pleasant pine-like after taste.
This is one outstanding beer. I like that this IIPA is balanced. Sure there is a nice hoppiness but there is more to this beer than that.
