An imperial IPA that was brewed to turn your world upside down. Hops will get you coming and going. Pungent aromatics up front pair with a malt-balanced backbone and a smooth, bitter finish.

12 oz. bottle poured into an Alchemist pint glass. Thanks to chpueblo22 for this bottle!
Appearance - Hazy light orange body. Not exactly an ample head, but it's there for a moment. The ring of lace around the beer grips to the glass like a great IPA should.
Smell - Citrusy goodness. Grapefruit and orange, just the way I like it. The sweetness in the back is just noticeable, but not overpowering. The overall aroma is just a hint muted, though.
Taste - Great citrus hop flavor up front and a slight hint of sweetness that lasts throughout the drink. The malt takes a backseat, but it's enough to keep it from being too extreme. The bitterness is subdued by the malt as well, but it builds as I drink the glass.
Mouthfeel - Perfect body. Drinkable to the point of gulpable. The only prevention is that lingering and slowly-building bitterness.
Overall - One of my favorite IPAs, even if slightly imperfect. Too bad I only get it every once in a while. Just shy of being one of the great IPAs, like Pliny and Heady.

Pours a clear yellow color with a small white head that goes away quickly. Has a strong pine smell mixed with fruits and hops. Taste is exactly like how it smells.

Orange color , nice off-white head. Aroma of pine, fruits , caramel. Juicy taste with notes of pine and tropical fruits. Pleasant, long-lasting , hoppy bitterness.

355 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 9.4%, 86 IBUs. Surprisingly pale golden colour, probably the palest American double IPA I’ve seen. Big to moderate white head. Distinct but still relatively moderate aroma of citrussy and piney American hops, also notes of caramel and orange marmalade. The flavour is of course very hoppy from start to finish, but not really extreme. The grapefruity bitterness is partly balanced by a pronounced malty sweetness. Notes of caramel and orange marmalade again. Very bitter aftertaste.

My favorite IPA.
Big grapefruit up front.
Alcohol is well hidden.
