This is their IPA hopped with Summit and Nugget hops. Pours out a clear dark orange with a decent sized off white head that left some decent lace around the glass. Aroma was nice and hoppy with a bitter grapefruit hop juiciness coming out backed by some floral notes. Bitter grapefruit hop notes come on strong up front in the flavor with an almost hop juice sweetness. Some toasted malt to provide balance before the dry bitter hoppy finish. Solid medium body brew with plenty of hops raking at your tongue. Extremely easy drinking stuff as the growler went down without any effort. Great hoppy flavorful IPA from an up and coming brewpub.

On tap @ Shoreline
As stated below, this is an IPA hopped with summit and nugget hops. Pours orange with a huge head.
It smelled like a forest preserve. Tons of piny notes to go along with all that citrus. There is a slight malt backbone to this as well, which provides excellent balance.
Medium bodied and finishes crisp and dry. Reminds me a lot of RBC's Amarillo Attacks. Just a fantastic session IPA!

On tap at the brewery - served in pint glass.
A: Copper color, one-finger head, nice carbonation. Much lacing left as you drink. Very nice looking beer.
S: Not as nosy as I expected. Light hops, light malt, very clean smell.
T: Pine & grapefruit hops. Very nice malt backbone.
M: Very smooth and creamy. Excellent carbonation.
D: This beer will disappear so fast you would think someone else is drinking it while you are not looking!
This reminds me of Two Hearted Ale in appearance and mouthfeel. It is like THA on steroids when it comes to the strength of the hops. Too bad they don't bottle. Growlers are $15.

Had on tap at the brewery.
A- Pours a light hazed orange/light amber color. Two finger white head shows medium retention. Nice sheet lacing on the glass as I drank this one down. Shoreline is always good with the lacing.
S- This is simple a light caramel malt backbone that is mostly hidden due to pine pine pine hops everywhere!
T- Nice bitter grassy hops in the front. I expected this with the aroma. There is a light malt balance to this which I didn't expect to be honest. This beer is plain and simple in the taste.
M- Medium mouthfeel. Carbonation is good with the style. Piney hops left everywhere in the mouth after each sip. Tons of resin and makes you feel it on your teeth. Aftertaste is light alcohol with a lot more piney hop. Medium drying on the palate. Flavor was a little one sided at times but when the malts worked their magic they do so and balance the flavor well.
D- A damn good drinkable beer that I personally loved having glass after glass of. Shoreline should be up there with the top of the top with Indiana brewers.

Served in a pint glass at Shoreline 1/7/08. Thanks to HeatherAnn for the assist!
A: This one was served up a nice looking hazy amber color with no head and a tiny ring. Very still.
S: HOPS! Very piney hop aroma with an assertive toasted malt backbone.
T: See above. Once again, piney HOPS and excellent balance from the malt.
M: Dry, resinous, astringent, and deliciously piney.
D: Very good. Could session this bad boy!

On tap @ Shoreline Brewery.
A: Pours a darker copper color with slight red tint. A thin white head quickly dissipates to a small cap.
S: Didn't pull much out of the smell. Some hops and slight floral. Faint citrus.
T: A good hop formula with good bitter hops all the way through. Citrus/Grapefruit gives it a balance. The bitterness lingers in aftertaste.
M: Good carbonation for an IPA, a good mix between smooth mouth coating and warming bitterness.

Drank this at the New Albanian/Richo's Lupulin Land Festival. A 20 oz. pour arrived with a bright orange/amber body. The head was off white and left sheets of fine lace down the glass.
Smell was robust. Sweet and cat piss. Yummy hops earthiness.
Taste was spicy, grassy, and brash. However, the sweet maltiness was adequate the counter the bitterness. Summit and Nugget hops give it the "Sum-Nug" name. The two characteristics were distinct but worked well together.
Mouthfeel was medium to full and adequately carbonated. I would seek this one out again.

Brought a growler of the Sum Nug IPA home to share with some friends. The appearance was a darker amber and had a creamy white head. The smell consisted of pine, some citrus, and malt. The taste was certainly bitter, I dont think the malt carried its weight against the summit and nugget hops that were used. As the beer warmed it turned somewhat sour. The mouthfeel was knowck down a little bit for me. Certainly 1 to 2 would be fine for me at a sitting.
