I visited this place 3 or 4 times when i was in amsterdam, good atmosphere.

Its situated off dam sqaure, a walk down a little side street leads you to de brakke grond. A fairly large bar/restaurant.

The downstairs area is where the bar/cafe is, upstairs is the restaurant.

Very friendly service and a fairly good selection of beers. The list is about 30 or 40 but all the beers are top notch, stuff like rochefort 10, orval, a few gueuzes, achel etc. They also serve soft drinks, wine and spirits.

Alot of the beer is served in the correct glassware, those that arent are served in the next best thing

I had a very fresh bottle of orval on my third visit, bottled only a month or so it was so much better than the first time i'd had it at home
