12oz bottle. Pours a very watery looking pale golden colored beer with massive carbonation bottles that rise to create a pure white thinned-out foam head with some stick and moderate retention. Touch of straw-y haze.
Light fruitness, soft floral note. Wheaty in the nose. Unpleasant.
Quite light on the palate, very thin and watery with just a hint of malt backbone. Loads of husky tannins in the mouth, quick scrubbing and course feel followed by a weak hop zest. Somewhat spritzy carbonation feel. Soft bubble-gum lays with hints of one-dimensional fruit flavors. Odd wheaty tannin clings to the palate in the finish.
Label says "often served with a lemon" ... you'll need one just to take the tannic edge off. Another lackluster and boring Summer seasonal.

12 oz twist off brown bottle with a bottled on date of 4/27/05 ... a little early, this beer won't be fresh by the time summer is over. Thankfully I am drinking it now.
Pale golden hue with a good clarity, thin white lace does little to stick to the glass.
Bread crust aroma, mild lemon rind and pale malt husk in the nose.
Crisp and a bit too wet, odd graininess throughout. Mildly astringent with a lining of diacetyl. The herbal hop character does not meld well and only seems to intensify the graininess / astringent character. Finishes with a slickness on the palate.
They state that this beer is often served with a slice of lemon ... I would highly suggest it to mask the astringency or just simply pick a different summer brew.

A: Pours a slightly hazy medium golden yellow in color with light to moderate amounts of visible carbonation. The beer has a three quarter finger tall creamy bright white head that reduces to a thin film covering the majority of the surface of the beer with a small thicker patch and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Light to moderate aromas of wheat and citrus with just a hint of adjunct malt sweetness (which fades as the beer opens up).
T: The beer has a light to moderate body of wheat with some lighter amounts of adjunct malt sweetness (grain and corn) along with a light hint of citrus/lemon.
M: Light bodied with light to moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly thin/watery.
O: This is easy to drink and not unenjoyable but nothing really special either. Probably will not be picking this one up again.

This brew pours with a three finger head which lasts for several minuets and provides lacing the glass throuout.
The smell is hay/wheat and some kind of fruit, I can not tell what, maybe blueberry.
The taste is kind of bland, wheat, fruit, (blueberry?), some hops on the back end. It is also too sweet.
The mouthfeel is crisp and cracker like with heavy carbonation and a little oily on the back end.
Overall this brew could probably benefit from some spices. The musty smell and taste are similar to some other wheat beers I have had however in this brew both are a little unpleasant. This is pretty bland for a wheat beer; I believe Otter Creek can do better.

A - light golden yellow with a short lived white head
S - wheat, faint grassy
T - wheat, faint yeast, light flavor, very little hop character
M - light bodied, smooth, well carbonated
A very light, easy to drink, refreshing summer beer. It's not very unique but it is a decent beer if you like something light. I wouldn't turn it down if offered.

Pours a hazy, greenish yellow with a bubbly white head that quickly dissipates.
Smells of grain & lemon.
Taste is lemon, yeast, and grain. Not really a lot going on here. The few flavors that do appear seem a little off. Not anything exciting here, and it is leaning from average to bad.

Consumed 7/10/12
Appearance: Clear gold, pours with a little white head that fades quickly - leaves a few spots, but really not much of a head or much lacing
Smell: On the mild side - kind of smells like a bowl of wheat cereal sprinkled with sugar and grass - a light grainy sweetness, sugar, some grass, and plenty of wheat - some citrus and something that smells like honey
Taste: Follows the mild aroma, with some mild flavors - pale, grainy malts, wheat twang, and some sweetness - slightly sugary, with some honey and sweet citrus - slightly tart with some grass, some off-flavors
Mouthfeel: Light bodied, unusually light for the style - could actually use some more carbonation
Overall: Meh
Personally, I think Otter Creek is underrated. They make some great beers. Unfortunately, this is not one of them. It's overly mild and bland. As it warms, it becomes overly grassy and watery. Very average.
