Notes:
This robust India Pale Ale follows British tradition by using bountiful amounts of fresh hop cones to produce a crisp clean character; blending Magnum, Crystal and Hallertauer hops with generous amounts of Munich and Carmel malt.

Clear amber water. This ale is average. Everything about it is just mediocre. Mild hoppiness and a bit more malt character make for a fair brew at best.
Halfway through and there's very little trace of hop aroma and then the malt takes over. Tastes o.k., but there are plenty of better options for an American IPA. I will not seek this out again, but if we cross paths I can consume it. I guess I'm indifferent.

Appearance: Cloudy orange. About a finger and a half of creamy white head with mild retention. Thick around the edges with a good amount of lacing. Some carbonation and a little bit of sediment
Aroma: Bready malts, some caramel sweetness. Toasty cereal grains. Faint citrus hops. A touch of earthiness. Nothing mindblowing here but not bad
Taste: Follows the nose for the most part. Cereal grains in the foreground. Like oats. There's a wheaty twang. Some sweet caramel. Earthy hops meet somewhere in the middle but seem a bit like an afterthought. At most there's a slightly oily pine presence in the finish. Like the nose nothing out of the ordinary but not much of note. Decent
Mouthfeel: Creamy. Some body but not much bite. A bit watery. Clean
Overall: Not one for the ages but it might get you through in a pinch. In the end there just isn't much to write home about in this beer. Very average

Poured from bottle into .5l cylinder glass.
Appearance – Pours a beautiful lightly hazed orange-copper color with a two finger off white head.
*But compared with Dales Pale Ale - not as pretty or bright a copper. some big bubbles in head, lighter level of lacing.
Smell - More laid back and subtle than AIPAs. a blend of sweet and hop. caramel sweetness with hops, earthiness backing. A bit of sweet orange hop as well. Quite nice and very subtle.
Taste – Starts with bread mixed followed by citrus and floral/herbal arc. The herbal and floral hop intensify on back end. finishes earthy. But again, subtle like the smell. Wholesome, approachable, sessionable, not much sense of the 6.8 or esters. More calm and earthy. Refreshing aftertaste, goes well with food, in this case (grilled grass fed burgers on pretzel roll with grilled asparagus (it's spring), red pepers, mushrooms, garlic).
Mouthfeel – Hi creaminess, lo carbonation. The creaminess parallels the earthy hop, the grass. Organic!
Overall – Very original, refreshing, made in Vermont IPA. Subtle and good starter IPA. Personally I like the piney crisp complexities of Dales Pale Ale, Stone, Troegs. This one less citrus and more earthy. It is a nice break from the more traditional. Every hop head must try it. Organic! Made in Vermont!
