The first year-round IPA in Otter Creek history, Backseat Berner is an American beauty that's loaded with juicy hops.
Like Oslo, Brewmaster Mike's 150 pound Bernese mountain dog that adorns the label, Backseat Berner is your everyday companion for life's adventures.
This brew clocks in at 7% ABV with 68 IBUs, so load up your buds and partake in this juicy exploration of American hops.

We had this beer at Narrows Tavern, Waldoboro, ME 9/21/18. So much for not being brewed any more. Very good hoppy IPA.

Served in a 12 oz (355 ml) pub glass at Byrne's Irish Pub in Brunswick, Maine.
A: Pours a hazy golden color with a half inch, white head with good retention, and serious lacing all the way down the glass.
S: Aromas of peach and mango predominate.
T: Semisweet. Palate basically follows the nose. Complex and subtle. Light bitterness just enough to achieve crisp, clean finish.
M: Light to medium bodied with solid carbonation throughout consumption.
O: A delicious IPA, lighter and less bitter than many produced today. A nice blend of the light, refreshing, elements seen in a more traditional ECIPA with the fruity elements of a contemporary NE. Enjoy!

At 68 IBUs and 7% abv, a sharp, hoppy brew. But very one note--no complexity. Straightforward piney, resinous IPA.

Poured a hazy yellow orange from a 16 oz orange can. Nice looking beer with hop forward slightly citrus smell. Taste is even better. Very hoppy, but still smooth and easy to drink. I like this one.
