Appearance: a fine hazy pale yellow body with a one finger head (if that) and there is no lacing on the glass.
Aroma: oh, coriander right off the bat with a little wheat in the back ground
Flavors: fresh cut wheat then a nice touch of coriander (opposite of the nose), light grassy note, fruity – okay, no distinct notes, if I had to make a call on the ‘tropical fruit’ according to the bottle – I’ll say, mango and apricot but, it is not strong at all. I don’t pick up any citrus just coriander spice.
Mouthfeel: light body and carbonation, light coriander spice on the aftertaste, refreshing feel yet dry.
To the Point: an okay Wheat Beer. Nothing to run out and get right away. Should be refreshing on a summer day with its simple profile.

12 oz. long-neck bottle poured into a weizen glass.
A- A liberal pour created a 2-finger, pillowy, white head that sustains near 1/2-finger and leaves awesome rings on the glass. The clean, golden body clouds nicely after a yeast swirl and exhibits heavy carbonation. I'd say it's just touch beyond golden-yellow, on the lighter side of the spectrum for an American Pale Wheat.
S- I have to say it's pretty classic for an APWA. The citrus comes off somewhere between lemon and orange. It's pretty sweet, almost like candied fruit. There's a hint of spice, somewhere along the lines of peppery.
T- Really refreshing, and on the sweet side. Strong citrus quality, mostly lemon zest. Lesser spice notes, what I assume is the corriander only seems to add to the citrus flavor. It's really lemony in the finish, not puckering, more of a clean quality. The more I drink the more a peppery spice comes through.
M- Complimentary qualities really bring the feel together nicely. Heavy carbonation mixes nicely with the chewy, unfiltered body.
O- It's a good summer wheat that does its job refreshing. I could do a few in a sitting. There's nothing I'd call "mind blowing," more of a straight forward APWA with a focus on citrus. I'd buy it again.

This is way better than anticipated. I don't really like many American Wheat beers, especially the overly sweetened ones that follow in the flavor of Blue Moon. I do enjoy the German wheats in general with their dryer flavor. This beer is a bit more similar to those with a strong similarity to a Belgian IPA. The color is really light straw in color. The smell is a bit astringent and sour. The taste is light but with a slight citrus flavor. The after taste is nice and light. This beer is great for a summer day and I would be happy to drink this all day while sitting on a nice beach.

A: Yellow and pale, little amounts of head and no lacing. Pretty bubbly though considering the head.
S: Smells of wheat and honey, with some citrus. very mild.
T: Tastes of very strong wheat and lemon zest, like a better version of Sunset Wheat or SA's Summer Ale. A little fruitiness and citrus, but it is balanced and not overpowering.
D/M: Very drinkable, goes down easy.

Radiant tangerine peel with light showers of swirling yeast that soon settle to the bottom. Most beer of this style is amber in color, so that could have interesting implications for the flavor profile. The creamy cap is yellowed ivory, mesa-like as it melts, and does a good job decorating the glass.
Bottle-conditioned or not, simple ale yeast don't add anything to the olfactory party. It smells like something a little darker than pale malt was used (in part) and I don't get the citrus zest that the brewery claims. Consider this the first warning sign.
Sorry, but Summer Wheat Beer is not my kind of summer wheat beer. RBB used too much mid-range malt, which results in a toasted-earthy-nutty flavor that simply doesn't work in an APWA. These things are often bland, but if the brewers wanted to change things up, they should have changed them up in a different direction (more hops).
In addition, there's a modest amount of bandage-like phenols and a tart tanginess that doesn't really taste like lemon juice... more like upripe apricots. Neither sweetness nor bitterness make much of an impression. The beer isn't bad, mind you, it just isn't good.
Light mouthfeels are never a problem in a pale wheat ale, but this one is a little lighter than light. The bubbles don't do much to liven up the party, even though the same number that were there at the start seem to be there at the end.
Maybe the folks in Southern Michigan like Summer Wheat Beer and Round Barn sells a few silo's worth every year. To my way of thinking, there's too much outstanding beer in that state to waste time and money drinking merely average beer.

This being my first review on BA, please bear with me.
Poured from its newly produced and styled bottle into my faithful mug.
A: Pours a nice, light amber color with a medium head that dissolves quickly. A very inviting appearance.
S: (This is where my beer reviewing knowledge lacks.) A nice citrus aroma is combined with a faint floral (I believe) hop smell.
T: Very, very pleasant. A smooth, light drink with a hint of bitterness fades into a lingering malty aftertaste. A decent finish that does not demand an immediate second drink. Very palatable. It really does remind me of Oberon, though fruitier and a little lighter.
M: The carbonation fades more than I would like, but the beer is smooth and not overpowering.
D: A good summer beer. Though I am an unabashed fan of wheat beers, this one is legitimately solid and a fine substitute for other, more popular wheat beers like Oberon, Sunset Wheat, etc. I could easily see myself downing a few of these again.

A big thanks to my buddy Matt for stopping by with this selection from Round Barn. Olive colored 750ml Australian Long Neck bottle with a transparent label that has Round Barn's Logo on in and says summer wheat. Poured the beer into my HopCat snifter. Beer pours murky orangish straw color with 3 figures of head that diminishes after the first few sips. The carbonation of this beer is appropriate for the style. The smell is light and smells of citrus, wheat and pine. The taste taste is much like the smell with the absence of pine. The mouthfeel is a bit heavy, but still very refreshing. I did enjoy this beer although not as much as there winter wheat ale that we sampled that night as well. Definetely a good offering from Round Barn though. This beer sorta reminds me of the way Oberon use to taste 5 years ago befor it got all bud-lightish.

Poured from a 25oz capped and corked bottle into a 20oz imperial pint. Thanks to HeatherAnn for the assist!
A: Pours a hazy, golden-peach golor. With a tiny white head that quickly melts into a barely there skim. Very still.
S: Hard to raise much of a nose out of this one. It became a little stronger as it came up to temp. Aromas of noble hops, toasted wheat, and mild citrus.
T: Flavors of toasted malt, wheat, citrus, cut grass, apple, and noble hops. Very simple, clean, and uncluttered. Nice.
M: Dry and spicy. Nice citrus and toasted grain astringency balanced out by a slightly oily hop profile.
D: Don't know the abv, but I suspect it's in the 5-6% range. Very refreshing flavor and mouthfeel make for a highly drinkable summer beer.
