Took the whole family here on a sunny, summer weekday for lunch. We arrived a few minutes before their noon opening and there was already a crowd of about 30 or 40 people waiting to get in. It was a surprising mix of young and old, singles and families, and I was relieved I wasn't the only one that had a couple kids in tow.

We were seated off to the side near the front window of the brewpub. The server arrived and she was very pleasant and helpful and did not seemed fazed at all by my two young children. I'm a 20+ year vet of the restaurant business and I know a lot of people are divided on dining with children. I personally try to avoid it at all costs, because I like to actually relax and enjoy my meal, as do those around me. However, we were on a family vacation and this was Dad's day.

My kids seemed happy with the choices on the kid's menu and my daughter was thrilled to upgrade to her own "special drink" (Dogfish Beach/Root Beer) just like Daddy. The kids were digging it which eased my anxiety and let me relax so I could enjoy some of the fine liquid offerings.

I'll start with the food. As someone who can be overly critical of menu offerings, I'll keep it as brief as possible. The food was good, but not great. The menu selections were interesting, and certainly elevated beyond your normal bar food offerings. I appreciated some of the creativity of their culinary team, like the Spent Grain Pretzels and Duck Poutine. Some of the other dishes fell flat, most notably, the Chicken and Waffle Sandwich. The waffles substituting the bread were limp. The chicken, which had a decent breading was dry under it's crust. It seemed like it could have benefited from some serious brining. The dipping sauce was a Sriracha Maple Syrup, but it felt lacking in both the Sriracha and the Maple departments. I loved the idea but the execution was off. My recommendation would be to stick with the appetizer portion of their menu, and share some snacks with your table while you enjoy the wonderful selection of beers.

And now, the beers... I was so happy that I had arrived on this day. They had just tapped 120 Minute a few days before and the Brewpub Exclusives were ones that I had heard of in the Dogfish lore. Notably, they were serving Choc Lobster and Beer for Breakfast. They allow you to order four samples in each beer flight in any combination of beers that they have on tap. I started out with Choc Lobster and Beer for Breakfast, coupled with 75 Minute Cask and upon the server's recommendation, Palo Ahumado. Each beer was unique and delicious in it's own right. I won't go into detail on each one, but whether you love or hate the results, you have to admire Dogfish' ingenuity and spirit of experimentation. I followed it up with another flight, repeating the Palo Ahumado and Choc Lobster (they were that good) and paired them with Palo Santo Maron and some 120 for dessert.

Well done, Dogfish. They've managed to create a comfortable vibe for everyone with good service, decent food, and outstanding beverages. I hope to make it back there soon.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. Food is excellent and a great kids menu. All the beers you love and brewpub exclusives. Service is always phenomenal and very reasonably priced. You can’t go wrong stopping by this place.

Visited on a Monday off season/early season. Similar to other DFH restaurants. Sat at a barrel/window table which was nice. The place is very open and looks like it could handle many more tables.

Our server was nice and attentive. Knew the beer even though she was not necessarily a big fan of the Utopias barre aged 120 minute.

Can’t argue quality when the glass is clean and the correct type and you’re only 15 minutes from the mothership brewery.

A little disappointed in the selection. Not enough classic DFH brews on tap. But there are some tap room exclusives.

Food was good. Nothing that should dissuade a visit.

Yes, they didn’t have the stout on the website, but after having driven through 7 states to get here, it was worth it!

I really enjoyed the meal here. We were able to eat dinner and then stick around for live music and another drink. Service was very good, though our person was less attentive towards the end of the meal. Beer selection was solid of course. I appreciate that they had a few things not available at the brewery. Food was great and they have a wide selection of options.

Overall a great place to sample and eat. Gets very busy in the summer around dinner time. Newly remodeled to give more seating area outside. They reduced the size of the merchandise store next door to make more seating area outside. Nice!

There isn't much that I can say in a review about this brewery that hasn't been said in previous reviews, except that they are now moved into the new pub, just next door from the old location that is now the merchandise shop. We enjoyed the vibe in this new pub, and service was very good on a Wednesday just after the lunch crowd.

There were 19 beers on tap plus a cask offering, and we chose two, 4-glass samplers so that we could try a wide variety. All of them were very good, and overall we gave a B+ grade to them. The exceptional one was the BBA Olde School Barleywine, but notables included Indian Brown, Carobock, and Oak-aged Vanilla World Wide Stout. (We also really liked the Indian Brown when we toured the brewery in Milton the next day.)

The food menu is not extensive, but it has enough choices so that anyone should be able to find something. We really enjoyed what we ordered, and even gave a food score that was higher than our overall score for the beers. If you are anywhere nearby Rehoboth Beach, do stop here for a treat.

Right on the boardwalky-type ocean area that's not really a boardwalk but still has all the stuff you'd find on a boardwalk. They've just opened a new, very large restaurant facility right next door to the old pub, which is now a shop.

The decor looks like it came out of a box labeled "Premade 2017 Middlebrow Restaurant." It's woody, there's edison bulbs, TV, medium-strength light, low ambient noise. It's pleasant enough but doesn't have much character to it.

The beer is Dogfish Head beer. It's good.

The food kind of sucked.

The service was meh but they were incredibly busy for a Monday so they were a little under-staffed.

Overall, stop by if you're in town. But probably not worth traveling for.

Got there at around 4:45pm on a Saturday in the middle of the summer. It was crowded when we arrived but no wait yet. Our party was 4 adults + 2 toddlers and we got seated immediately in the main dining area. Very casual, laid back vibe inside that fit the beach town surroundings. Our servers were friendly, despite clearly being very busy, but handled our food and drink orders promptly. Lots of "off-centered" offerings on-tap, but I decided to go with the Shelter Pale Ale, currently only available on draft in Delaware. It was fresh and tasty and made for a great accompaniment to the wings, pretzel bites, and fried pickles we shared at the table. The food was good but nothing mind-blowing. Overall, an enjoyable stop for some apps and drinks. I'd like to return sometime at night when they get live bands to play.
