Went to Rehoboth on my honeymoon. Went to the brewery then as well. Dogfish has always been my favorite brewery and going there is like a dream come true.
It was very nice. Maybe a little quaint if you will.
The service is always crazy good. the year before we went to the falls church location and we were give a free round, a free desert and a free six pack and two pint glasses. at rehoboth the manager bought our meal and set us up on a tour. very good people there.
Selection changes all the time. its very cool.
The food is ridiculous. ive had antelope burgers, portebelos, pulled pork and bacon burgers and they were almost all the best ive ever had.
Great Place. Highly recommend.

As a huge Dogfish Head fan... in one word... Heaven! On my way back up to Providence, RI from my parents house in Georgia, my wife, daughter and I stopped by the Mecca of Beer for me (and my brother who is insanely jealous!) The atmosphere was excellent, and so was the service. I partook of the World Wide Stout, as well as a Black Thai (which I believe may be a brewhouse special). I have had the World Wide stout before, excellent as always, and the Black Thai was one of the best Imperial Stouts I have had. The food was wonderful and well priced, and the gift shop was a wonderful place to spend more money. If you are in the Delaware area, stop by!

I've reach Mecca. Over the course of the last several years, my wife and I have tried to get to DFH and never been able to plan the drive out to Rehoboth Beach. Finally, in a trip to DC, we rented the car and headed out on a Saturday morning to check out the home of off centered ales ourselves.
And, we weren't disappointed. Pints of 60 min, India Brown and Raison d'etre were all fresh and well served by our friendly bartender. In addition, their more exotic ales on tap, Theobroma (Aztec beer) and Palo Santo Marron (Paraquayan wood aged) are beyond belief to have two such cool beers on tap at a time. Though the Theobroma was my favorite, my sister and wife took to it immediately as I had a second Palo.
Bar food was good, though not a lot of vegetarian options. Pizza was very good and the onion rings were more than ok. Neither matched the beer, which is a high bar, but I wouldn't go to any trouble to eat anywhere else. Order up some food, and drink some more find DFH--don't waste time where you can't drink DFH.
Pub opens noon-ish, as it says on the door, so don't rush down. Hit the beach or the bar next door for an earlier beer (cheese plate and DFH on tap were both great). Take a nice walk on the beach before needing to drive home.
Hope you enjoy your pilgrimage.

Second trip for the wife and myself to the Dogfish Head brewpub in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
This place seems to be perennially packed, regardless of seasons, times, days and hours. Always. Incredibly. Packed. We go in the off-season and it's still packed, can't imagine how it would be in the middle of summer! Maybe during the week is better?
The inside is fairly normal, like a big warehouse with no divisions. When you're at the door, you can see the whole place. Bar right there, dining room right there, kitchen right behind. It's like a gigantic Montana log cabin marooned by the beach in Delaware. Cozy and woody, but could benefit from an expansion or dividing the bar and the dining room.
I like that it is a comfy place, even when you are -as we were- seated in a cramped table right behind a three-people-deep busy bar. But, don't go on a Saturday night or whenever there's live music. It gets way loud and crazy.
Service was incredibly efficient in the dining room, hence my high rating. Despite the crowds, our waitress managed to always be attentive, nice and knowledgeable.
The beer selection is of course the star here, with all the Dogfish beers you can imagine and then some. Palo Santo, Midas Touch, Old School; and 60, 90, Raison d'Etre... the works. I only wish they had World Wide Stout on tap.
Also a nice selection of aged brews, like an '07 Olde School for $16, or a Raison d'Extra '06 for $18.
They had some brewpub-only beers on tap: Odd-Umm (which the wife said tasted like a vodka-tonic, but I thought its sweetness was yummy); Quartier Rouge (my favorite, a perfect Belgium, balanced sweetness); Bed Burglar (the wife said it tasted like Killian's Red); Shark Beer (weird but OK, too dry); Oktoberfest (too bready and gamey, didn't like) and My Antonia (flat-out bad, tasted like glue).
The best of the exclusives were DFH Ale and 75 Minute IPA on cask.
The only food we tried was the Chesapeake Pizza, with crab and asparagus, absolutely delicious!! I have noticed a change in the food menu- they now try to emphasize local ingredients as much as possible.
Prices are high, no question about it. Pizza is $13, feeds one. Pints are $5.50. Tastings are $2 and $1. Empty growlers are $6 and $18 for a refill of premium brews like DFH Ale or 90 Minute. Merchandise is nuts, like $27 for a flimsy t-shirt.
These are New York prices in an already-expensive beach town!
But I assume most of us only visit the brewpub once or twice a year, so it is worth splurging and enjoying. Love Dogfish!!!

Drove down to the brewery and brewpub from Connecticut on 6/14/13 to do what my friend and said we would always do if we had the opportunity. Round trip 12 hours, 2 tanks of gas, and $60 in tolls were entirely worth it.
We started the day with a tour of the brewery and tap room. Which was an experience in its own. The brewpub kept the experience going.
Our waitress, Brianna, was in training and did a spectacular job. We got a couple of pizzas, a couple of beers and dessert and had a great time. I normally don't get dessert at restaurants anymore, but when you see he desserts on their menu you will understand why I did.
Every person was polite and accommodating, from the hostesses to Brianna to the guy at the to go window outside [yes they have a beer/merch to go window].
The beer list was expansive and intriguing. We didn't happen to hit day with anything super-rare, but got to try some brewery exclusives (like thecurrent Province Ale release) and had some great food.
Prices were surprisingly responsible, and the fact that there is no sales tax in DE was a nice surprise coming from CT,
We will make that pilgrimage again.

I love this place. The atmosphere is great. I went with my wife and our infant daughter and there were no problems (just have to leave your stroller outside).
The food is excellent, the dogpile appetizer is a meal for at least 3 people all by itself. Everything is locally sourced and super fresh. Great burgers, great pizzas.
Always, always, always an exclusive "brewery only" draft or 2 or 3.
Great service, they really know their stuff. Very friendly.
Awesome place, go there, you will not be disappointed!

Visited Dogfish Head brewings and Eats on the May 24 weekend 2011. Part of the 2011 "beercation"!
It's great that the place still retains some intimacy. We were seated after a bit of a wait, right next to the stage. Our server was spectacular, cute and a lot a fun. Not only did the Manager pick up rounds for asking us to move slightly for the live entertainment, but the food was spectacular.
Best rings I've ever had, and the crab cakes were to die for.
Best of all, the fresh DFH brews were worth the trip and the wait for seats. Had the 120 minute, Noble Rot, Hellhound on my ale, but was disappointed that the Bitches Brew was just tapped out.
Overall a memorable evening (even met a group from Toronto at the table next to us...) and would recommend 100 percent to anyone looking for a brew/gastro adventure...

Was staying in Cape May for the weekend with my girlfriend but check-in time wasn't for another 4 hours so I convinced her to take the ferry across to kill some time. The cost of taking my car on the ferry was a bit much so we decided that when we got to the other side, we would hop on a bus instead. We were greeted by a very friendly staff and our waitress was very knowledgeable about everything. Shared an appetizer and both got entrees. My girlfriend had a martini (which I frowned upon but she doesn't like beer at all) and I made myself a flight of both beer and the spirits they produce there. I also had another beer and my girlfriend caved and ordered one as well which we both enjoyed. The bill only came out to be $60 which I was very surprised but happy about. Dogfish Head beers have always been a favorite of mine and the visit made me like them that much more. I ended up grabbing 2 growlers and a shirt as I left smiling. I would love to head over to the actual brewery next time I am over in DE. I highly recommend stopping in to anyone who is in the vicinity .

Really awesome place! What's not to love about a brewpub from your favorite brewery??? Swag out front as you enter (or exit), so be sure to pick up a glass, shirt, opener, etc. You know you want something.
Nice, laid-back atmosphere inside, great decor. We were warmly welcomed and were promptly seated at the windows up front. Our server was friendly, and fairly attentive.
Excellent beer, of course! I chose the 120, since I'd never had it on tap. Damn, was it awesome!!! I had a salad with grilled tuna, and it was outstanding, as was my brother's pepperoni pizza!
Excellent atmosphere, food, BEER, and service. I probably won't ever get a chance to go back, but I'd sure love to!

The upside to Dogfish Head is that it's about 4 blocks from beautiful Rehoboth Beach. But the beach isn't the reason to go to Rehoboth!
The downside to this is that there's a constant stream of people muscleing up to the bar asking for (insert crappy Big Brewery beer here).
It's Dogfish Head, so the beer of course is innovative, and for the most part, really good. However the "sampler", which is usually great at most brewpubs, is pretty weak there. 5 beers, already chosen for you.
The food was good, though like everything else Dogfish does, perhaps a wee bit ecletic on the whole (what other brewpub doesn't serve wings?).
Edit: The distillery is up and running very well now, apparently the third time was a charm finding a distiller. The infused vodkas are world-class and the selection of 20+ different ones is second to none. There's also a few rums and some gin, plus I'm told there's tequila now as well. The selection of beers is a bit on the light side when compared to a lot of bigger breweries' brewpubs, usually around 7-8. And there usually isn't much that isn't available in bottles somewhere else, don't go expecting some unique beers. Their light lager is brewpub-only, however, and it's pretty damn good, I'd recommend getting it...it shows how much skill goes with all that classic DFH creativity.
