WOW, they need to bottle this one. Reminiscent of the Chicory Stout but even better.

A- Darn near black it's so dark

S- Coffee and a hint of chocolate

T- Strong coffee flavor and dark roasted malt

M- Pleasant, velvety. Would be even better
served by nitrogen.

D- Couldn't go higher than 3.5 due to the strong flavors. Definitely not a beer to have with food because you won't taste anything but this beer and not good for a session of drinking because you may not be able to taste anything but this beer the next day.

Highly recommended should you find it on tap and hoping that they will bottle and distribute this brew.

note: I couldn't find this beer on BA for a long time. These are some old notes I found recently.

a: This one is a very dark brown, almost black. It was served to me with a smallish tan head.

s: Very strong notes of roasty coffee. Some alcohol as well.

t: As with the smell, big coffee notes dominate. The alcohol was harder to find here.

m: Decent carbonation and a nice thick oily texture.

d: This was perfect on a cool evening in late fall.

Quite an impressive beer loks wise-deep, deep brown in color with a very nice, dark tan head on top. Nice aroma-heavily roasted, nutty, chocolatey with a mild espresso tinge. Deep roasted and grainy flavor with quite the heavy hand of hops thrown in. Sign said 48.7 IBUs. Quite malty-very well balanced between the extreme roastiness and the hops. Good mouthfeel. Dangerously drinkable-I could make a serious evening out of this. A lot hoppier then other baltics I have tried but damn, damn tasty.
