Went here after a nice trip to the beach and found the brewery to be a nice surprise considering my limited exposure to the four beers that Saugatuck bottles. Had samples of the boathouse and neapolitan stout, as well as the main street hefe, all of which were uniquely brewed and well done to style, and had pints of the singapore IPA (which is fantastic!), the scotch ale on tap, and maggie's irish red. All of the beer was at least fairly well done, and I love how the brewery combines the use of unique ideas with balanced beers, rather than just brewing everything as big as possible. Our server was great, and the food was fairly good, although not over the top outstanding. Still, it was a great trip and I would certainly visit the brewery again.

Atmosphere upbeat and busy. Couples and large families. Big swing in age groups. Our average wait on a Sat afternoon for two was twenty minutes. Outdoor patio, dart boards and shuffleboard.
Selection was not good at all. Apx 6-8 pale ales and a cider. They ran out of Neopolitan-no stouts or porters. No description of each ale except for which hop varietal was used-me being the avg Joe Public I have no clue. You wanted to ask the server but they were all extremely busy. I ended up having Hop in your eye Rye ale (because I know what to expect) and was very satisfied. A sour to be released in a few months-so I was told.
It appears to be a local favorite. Easy place to find and around a great recreational area. Bottles and growlers to go.
All in all I plan to go back and have some food and brew when not so busy, but then again it may turn into FFF and you'll be waiting for hours.

Atmosphere: dart boards, shuffleboard. live music. cool patio. fun place, but the bar area/ table area is a bit crowded for how big the place is
Quality: some pretty good beers some fairly average, nothing too exceptional.
Service: good service. our waitress was a little bit crazy but not bad.
Selection: good amount of beers but seemed a bit one sided in terms of variety while i was there
Food: good fairly standard pub fare. solid dinner
Overall: nice place to checkout at night after a day at the beach.

Visited here tonight with my wife for dinner and a few brews. Decided to get a flight and was VERY happy with my selections. My waiter was on top of the tap selection and I had a couple of beers on cask at his recommendation. I rated a few I had (as "hads" without a full review) but bottom line is that I was impressed with each beer I had.
The Rye IPA, IPA and Porter were stand outs. I also had the ESB on cask and it was excellent. My wife had the Mahi wrap and I had a burger. The food was solid and reasonably priced.
Overall, very happy with the experience. If I lived in Michigan, I could see a few of these brews being regulars in my rotation.

We stopped here while exploring the western MI coastline. Didn't even know about Saugatuck Brewing until we saw it listed on an interstate info sign. Overall, it was a great experience. Stopped in just to try a few beers, but ended up getting some food too. We will definitely be back. It is a great small town brew pub.
Atmosphere : The Lucky Stone Pub has a definite Irish feel to it. Number of tables/booths/high tops. There is also some outdoor seating. Good music playing the entire time and a live band started up just as we were leaving.
Quality: We ended up getting two flights of 6 beers each - one hop forward and one malt forward. We found the pale ales and IPAs very drinkable. The best we tried was the Hop in Your Rye (Imperial Rye IPA). I loved the combination of Citra and Mosaic hops with the addition of rye. They also had a nice offering of stouts and porters. Napoleon Stout (just like it sounds - chocolate, vanilla and strawberry) was actually really good. ESB/Amber was also surprisingly good. Not your typical ESB. Of the 12 beers we sampled we enjoyed all but the DIPA on cask. Because of the variety of well-done ales I think this place is great for both someone just getting into craft beer and a seasoned veteran.
Service: Great service. Fast and very friendly. Stopped by a number of times to ask what we thought about the beers we were trying.
Selection: For a small brew pub they have a great selection. I think they had 15 beers on tap and a cider. They have something for everyone.
Food: Only tried the hummus. It was very good. We will be back to try more.
Value: Pretty good value. All samples were the same price for the flight. If you went with some of the higher gravity beers it would be a great deal. I also believe pints are all the same price.

My wife & I visited Saugatuck on a quiet Friday afternoon. The brewery and Lucky Stone Pub are basically the same thing--not sure why they named the pub something different. The building itself is a converted warehouse and is next door to an antique store. (Note if you are traveling with your spouse/significant other: You get 10% off food & beverage at the pub if you buy something at the antique store.)
The pub features a sizable bar area, many tables. Along one wall is brewery equipment where customers can brew their own beer. The process takes several weeks and since we were only here for the weekend, we didn't try it. Along the other wall are old school (i.e. non-electronic) dart boards. There is a beer hall in back by the restrooms that looked like it was being decorated for a Halloween party.
There are no TV's although we overheard the bartender telling other patrons that they "wheel out a TV for big games." That isn't necessarily a bad thing.
Service at the bar was good. Our bartender was attentive and knowledgeable although we didn't ask many questions. Food was decent--grilled mahi mahi wrap for me; a turkey reuben for my wife--but nothing spectacular.
As for the beer, well, it depends on your personal preference. We found the beers to be only OK and pretty heavy on the hops. We sampled 7 of the 13 beers/2 hard ciders on tap:
Belguim Wheat--surprisingly bitter for a wheat beer
Raspberry Wheat--too sour for our tastes
Oktoberfest--our favorite but tasted like any other Oktoberfest beer
Neapolitan Stout--pretty harsh for a milk stout; we were expecting it to be smoother with a hint of sweetness which it definitely wasn't
Smoked Porter--definitely smoky to the extent that we thought it would be good as a BBQ sauce. Smoke seems to be the beer flavoring du jour. Personally, I think it's gimmicky and while it tastes unique, it's hard to down a whole pint.
Cran-Cherry Cider--exactly what the name implies. I didn't like it at all; my wife liked the fruitiness but found it sour...so draw your own conclusion.
Oval Beach Blonde--We only had a taste but it still struck us as bitter and heavier than you'd expect.
In summary, I have to say again that it depends on your taste. Overall we had no complaints about the quality of the beer or the service; it was just not to our liking.
