Traditional oatmeal stout. The silky smooth oatmeal lends itself perdectly to the intense roasted malt character of this dark robust stout.

Nitro tap at the brewpub...

Almost opaque black color, downward carbonation is somewhat brief but a sturdy and persistant 1/2 inch creamy head remains on top. Fat ring laces that drip. Very little aroma, just slightly malty without being roasty. Flavors lean much toward milk chocolate, with just a slight sense of darker grains. Finish has elements of some caramel along with the chocolate. Overall, a little thin in body but a faithful representation of a non-dry Stout.

Notes on regular tap: Body is similar, far more coffee flavor.
