This is by far my favorite Dunkle....not a fan of Dunkels though...but this is a decent beer. The color was rich amber....almost a brown. The white head laced through out the drink. The scent included clove and banana along with some malt. The taste started like typical heffe....spicy clove and banana and finishes with a malt and slight chocolate. The mouthfeel is good and the lower abv helps to make this a potential oktoberfest session.

Served with a finger of beige head. Color is a hazed bark brownish color.
Aroma: Bananas, cloves, and a bit of roasted malts. I didn't pick up a lot of chocolate here like I would have expected. Not to yeasty.
Taste: Again, the main malt flavor I get is a roasted, dry malt. There isn't much of the typical chocolate malt that one would normally pick out of a dunkel. I guess dunkel means dark and the dark malts could be roasted instead of chocolate. Either way it is still enjoyable.
Mouthfeel: Smooth and creamy. Lighter to medium bodied with a medium amount of carbonation. Ends clean.
Overall, I thought this was unique to the style, but I still enjoyed my pint. Easy to drink and full of flavor.

On tap at Town Hall Tap. This beer arrives a cloudy brown color. The head is one inch in height, and recedes quickly into minimal lacing. The aroma is of banana and roasted malt. The taste is similar to the aroma. Both the taste and aroma have a lot more malt character then they do yeast character. Which is what I prefer in a hefe or dunkleweizen. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a chewy texture, and lively carbonation. Overall, this is a decent beer, however, I will pass on it next time.

Pours a clear, light brown color with a large off-white head after an aggressive pour. The head quickly settles to a thin cap. Some spotty lacing is left on the glass. Has a spicy aroma from the yeast. Weak in the nose overall. Things pick up some in the flavor. Has more spice in the taste. Cloves and pepper come to mind. Not much in the way of banana. The body is a letdown. A bit thin and watery. I like the flavor and the low ABV helps drinkability. Not the best example for the style but is a nice diversion.

Pours a headless, subfusc amber. Nearly opaque from the haze, and after several beers this was actually pleasant to look at, kinda like a lava lamp.
Smells good, nice balance of wheatmalt (white pepper, vanilla frosting, bananas) with lightly spicy yeast.
Tastes smooth and spicy, nicely balanced. There's a chocolateyness, of course, and that's mixed with your more typical dunkel flavors: big banana, bigger pepper. Very, very smooth.

Decent dunkle, and a style I like to drink. On-tap at the brewpub. Cloudy medium brown. Hoppy, and that hit first, then sourness through to the finish. Decent malting to keep up the drinkability. Medium or better mouthfeel.A nice one that I would have again - nailed the style.

A- Cloudy brownish amber with a thing white head.
S- Semi straw smell, must be the wheat. Some sweet in there but its hard to tell 100%.
T- Nice a hint of tangerine to start. Crisp flavor with a touch of malt in the back nice. Just a very easy flavor to this beer makes ya happy.
M- Good thickness and nice activity
D- Very drinkable and good overall enjoyable.
