after hearing about this place a few times on the pacific board, i figured i had to stop by since i am usually in the area twice a month.
this place is somewhat like if whole foods and trader joe's had a "kid."
for the area, this place is excellent. selection of beer rivals the new whole foods which is about 3-4 miles away.
i was able to pick up the last gift set of ommengang which included 3 bombers (including chocolate indulgence) and a 10th anniversary glass for $25. a good selection of craft, belgian, and other imports although during my visit i did not see any russian river.
cooke's is a really nice upscale community market which still has that personal "feel" when you walk in. as mentioned, some of the prices are slightly higher, but they do have specials and sales. the holiday alesmith bombers were on sale for something like $4.80 - the normal price was close to $6.00. they also had some belgian single 11.5s for 2 for $3.00. so, given the specials overall the prices are quite reasonable.
definetly worth a visit if in the area.

Used to live about two blocks from this place and visited 2-3 times a week
Good selection of Port, Stone, Green Flash, Avery, Rogue, Victory, Deschutes, Marin, and Anchor Steam
Expect to pay a couple more dollars than usual for bombers and a buck or two for 6 packs
Found some fantastic Rogue Monk Madness here
Good selection of beers from around the world as well
Always have Russian River's Damnation which is a major plus
Was close and conveneient for me, so I was not really complaining
Friendly customer service and good monthly specials, never keep outdated beer around
Used to be able to buy 12 ounce bottles individually out of a 6 pack, but they have stopped doing this
Rotating beer selection to keep things interesting
This places keeps getting better and better
Offering Grand Teton brews that are pretty much impossible to find on a closeout sale, bins with two microbrews for a dollar, some of the brews in here consist of Sea Dog, North Coast, Shipyard, Anchor, and Deschutes
Fantastic place, one of the best beer for beer places in all of the South Bay

So, I had to run an errand to the El Segundo post office during my lunch hour and decided to stop in at a local market to pick up some salad to take back to the office. Boy, was I in for a surprise...
As I walked in the door, the first thing I saw were displays for bombers of Alesmith beers (Grand Cru, Old Numbskull, Wee heavy, and Horny Devil - not positive on the last one there) and Stone Imperial Stout. Intrigued, I walked around the corner and saw a veritable smorgasboard of California beers. Bear Republic was represented by 5 beers (Hop Rod Rye, Racer 5, Red Rocket, and Big Bear Black Stout). I believe Russian River was represented by 2 beers (Damnation and another one - not positive). Stone had at least 4-5 beers. Speak Easy had 2-3 beers and I believe Green Flash had 2 beers. I lost track at that point.
Reasonable selection of other beers as well, both domestic and imported. I saw at least 6 Belgians on the top row.
Between Naja's, Four Points LAX, and this place, I'm starting to migrate to the view that the "beach town" stretch from Redondo beach to El Segundo is the major beer focus for the LA area.
Check it out if you're in the area. Good food selection to go with the beer. Geez, they even had Gorgonzola cheese on the salad bar.
