A: Bright gold with a suspension of yeast, tiny bone-white head and no lacing.
S: Extremely fragrant. Fruity and spicy, crisp citrus hop smell, and alcohol.
T: Sweet malty flavor with medium body, the sweet boozy flavor of candi sugar evident. Crisp hop flavor that is, if anything, slightly lacking. A little biscuity at the end.
M: Great carb and medium-light body. Extremely drinkable.
Tasty. I will definitely get another bottle or two for the cellar.

Very nice pillowy head, went to a thick lacing after a few minutes. At first, it had a strong wheat/banana smell, similar to some of my homebrews. After it warmed up, it still had the wheat presence, but had more tropical fruits, some malt, very little hops. Taste was very malty, with an "alcoholy" finish, kind of had a warming sensation as it went down. No bad aftertastes, which is a plus in my book. Overall an alright brew from Upland.

On tap at MaSON lounge, Madison. Glad to have the chance to sample this on tap. Definitely has the tropical fruit of a tripel, but doesn't have the malt of one. I like this well enough. But couldn't be satisfied w/ what little esle is going on here

Bottled on March, 2010. 22 oz bomber into a tulip glass.
A - Light amber body, slightly hazy. Soapy three finger off-white head forms, dies down to edging with large bubbles. Moderate lacing.
S - Spices, cloves and cinnamon. Sweet biscuity malts. Lots of banana and citrus. Bit of grass on the finish.
T - Very banana heavy with cloves and really sweet biscuity malts. Slightly alcoholic and warming. Medium mouth feel, but its almost syrupy.
O - A tasty beer that has surprisingly aged well. Really doesn't stack up against the Belgian and Trappist tripels though.

A: Pours a golden yellow with a thin white head. Carbonation is visible.
S: Cloves, lots of banana, hints of alcohol and lemon.
T: Starts with a bit of wheat along with the cloves and banana. Finish is citrusy with a bit of alcohol warming.
M: Medium with above average carbonation.
O: Very drinkable for the strength. More banana flavor than I've noticed in a beer but I like how it works.

22 ounce bottle into chalice, notched bottle date of Feb 2010(almost 2 years old). Pours very hazy golden straw color with a fairly dense 1 finger white head with good retention that reduces to a thin lacing cap that lasts. Slight bits of lacing cling to the glass. Good amount of carbonation streaming up from the bottom. Aromas of big bread, lemon zest, pepper, banana, apple, light caramel, orange, spicy yeast and a bit of alcohol. Nice and balanced aromas with good strength. Taste of big lemon, banana, clove, pepper, bread, apple, grape, tart graininess, candi sugar, and spicy yeast. No bitterness; with lingering notes of pepper, bread, citrus, banana, and spicy yeast on the finish for a bit. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a fairly creamy and smooth mouthfeel that drinks quite easily but is still a sipper at 9%. No alcohol other than a slight warming after the finish. Overall this is a surprisingly very nice and enjoyable Tripel. Good balance of flavors with smooth drinkability for the level of alcohol.

golden yellow, the haziness of it only served to magnify the shine it gave off. Some light sediment in the bottle, but that was from me, as I like it. A towering head of white foam at least four inches high,
Lots of grains here with a touch of yeast in the aroma. Light banana and lemon. touches of grass and even the slightest bit of grape. light, and full of flavor, light notes of yeast and wheat, some light fruit backed in as well. Nice hints of peach and a touch of wine like alcohol, but very light and more of a subtle nice surprise then anything else. The flavor was good, and at times effortless. The finish was dry; almost a champagne like dryness to it with a long lasting flavo
