Cherry is a barrel-aged fruited sour ale that showcases the distinct fruit characteristics of Montmorency cherries melded with a mildly tart base of sour ale. The beer pours with rich hues of red and pink foam, with zesty effervescence. Tart cherries dominate the aroma, with hints of wine and cider. Notes of cherry pie, lactic tartness and mild barnyard envelop the palate. Finish is dry, with lingering cherry fruitiness.

Careful all, this one's a gusher!
When the foaming eventually subsides, this beer pours a murky, hazed, dark pink and light ruby with a pillowy, thick, quickly forming pink head. This eventually leaves the glass messy with spiderwebs of pink lacing. I like it.
The aroma is both very acidic (sour!), and very fruit-forward, with lots of tart and fresh cherry aroma leaping from the glass. There's also a good amount of bright funk complementing the sour acidity and the fruit aromas.
As has been my experience with other Upland sour lambics, this one is hugely sour--mouth puckeringly, throat closingly so. Along with the aggressive sourness is a lot of bright, fruity, plump, fresh cherry flavor. The funk is relatively subdued, at least compared to the aroma. This is a marvelous combination of cherry and sourness--exactly what I was hoping for.
Medium bodied with high carbonation--perfectly appropriate for the style. A joy to sip. I had this before my meal and after, and it was brilliant both times. Drinks incredibly well both chilled and at room temperature.
Phenomenal cherry sour. I would love to fill my cellar with this stuff.

Appearance - From the bottle, the beer poured a hazy shade of ruby red with a white head.
Smell - The nose was sweet tarts, chopped up, cooked, and madrinto liquid form in a secret lab. Of course, the act is speculation. It did smell like sweet tarts.
Taste - For the taste, I will use another candy reference. The beer tasted like liquid War Heads. Holy cow, this beer was sour with little regard for cherry. The overall profile was acidic with some softness coming toward the back.
Mouthfeel - The acidity gave a drying impression in conjunction with moderate carbonation.
Overall - This might be my least favorite Upland lambic as there was little regard for the fruit.

Poured from 750ml bottle into glass. Bottling date is 'APR 2018'. Caged and corked bottle.
Clear, cherry red colored body. Each pour brings forth a fizzy head that immediately dissipates. No lacing. Final pour clouds up the body.
Aroma is funk and cherry, with an oak barrel inclusion. Slight lemon/cherry tartness.
Taste is a medium tart cherry, with oak barrel and barnyard funk. No hops and no bitterness.
Medium mouth feel, with fizzy approach to each sip. After taste is cherry, which is slightly sweet rather than tart.
Well blended sour ale, with a heavy flavor cherry emphasis. Very pleasant balance of tart, sweet, funk, and fruity.
