Been here a few times and always have enjoyed it. Perched beautifully overlooking Lake Superior. I go to their sister brewery, Town Hall, pretty often. This is a somewhat quite and secluded counterpart. In terms of beer selection, I tend to favor the latter over Fitger's. But Fitger's has a better food selection than Town Hall. One of the times I went was with a good friend who is vegetarian, and they even had a decent enough selection to make her happy. The inside is warmly decorated and inviting.

In my second trip to duluth in as many years, I made sure I came back to Fitger's.

Beer: Great selection, about 10 or so brews on tap. I sampled every offering in two trips on my recent visit. Nearly every beer was an above average sample of the style they were brewing, with some individual flare.

Food: A large selection, great burgers, good lunch specials.

Service: Polite and very knowledgeable. Appropriate amount of attention and the food was served quickly and hot. Pretty much something on the menu for everyone.

I would like to enjoy some live music there on my next visit to Duluth. If you're in Duluth this is MUST visit...trust me you stop by and end up staying for quite a while.

Visited this one with my wife on a trip up north. Atmosphere- this is a fun place, lots of bumper stickers all over, friendly people and live music. Quality of the brews is pretty decent. Only the Farmhouse Ale and Starfire Pale Ale were very close to memorable, the rest were kind of ok. The apricot wheat beer was also good, although thats not really my favorite style. Service was decent, but it took a while to get in an get our food. Selection was very good, several options for food and drink, they also specialize in whiskeys. Food was good, not exceptional but beer batter fries are always good. Reasonably priced.

My fience and I came here my the suggestion of her father, he's a "Ranger" with a love for Duluth and Fitger's. Well it's easy to say that I wasn't dissipointed. That's with the city or The Brewery. For those who don't know Fitgers is in a giant water front complex, that i got a little lost in. It was woth it though because the brewing equiptment and people working are highly visible along with some historical equiptment. Once you get to the resturant you can enjoy one of the fine brews. I got the ESB and Amanda had there Apricot Wheat. I wanted a cask ale but they recently ran out. The beers we had were fresh and well crafted. They were served promptly and poured well. We also had there Wild Rice VeggeBurger, wich is quite possably the best veggeburger We've ever had. It was Large and it didn't fall apart. It also tasted like wild rice soup, what else would you expect from Northern Minnesota. You can get it as is or pub style with grilled onions, mushrooms and a spicy sauce that supports but dosn't overwhelm the flavor of the burger. For all those veggetarrians out there they have a good amount of opitions. Deffinatly come here, the city is great as well.

We visited Fitger's for the first time upon returning from the north shore. Located in a historic complex which includes a fine hotel, shops, etc., we were really impressed with the experience.

In the downstairs store, we purchased several growlers including and orange infused EPA and an oatmeal stout. Our only disappointment was that they were out of apple beer until Thanksgiving time. This was recommended as a "must try."

We decided to grab some lunch at the Brewhouse upstairs before leaving. This is a really nice bar/restaurant set-up that has a lot of historic charm. The featured beers were all proprietary and included a special release Bourbon Barrel finished Red Barley Wine which was simply amazing.
Our lunch consisted of a special advertised tuna sandwich with fries. The tuna steak was prepared Cajun style and was placed upon a multi grain bun with field greens, onion, cilantro, and phenomenal pineapple/habanero salsa that really set things off! The fries were partially coated and deep fried and were very tasty as well.

Service was decent but not out of the ordinary for what one would expect from an establishment like this. Value was good as we were out the door with two sandwiches and a couple beers for $38.00 with tip. Well worth the stop. Next time (when we have more time...) we would like to explore the place a bit more. There's a lot of history here and they have various displays and informative areas set up in the hallways that would be interesting to check out.

My fiance has family in Superior so this is a must stop everytime we are up in that area. The place is a little hard to find once inside the building because the place is more of a complex with shoppes and other restaurants. It has an older, comfy feel to and you are not too close to others.

The beers made here are overall, pretty well made. I have had about 5 of their offerings and was impressed everytime. Plus the styles the brew range from a simple blonde to bourbon barrel stout. The service is decent and the food comes quickly but when I had some questions regarding the beer, they couldn't tell me much.

The menu isn't huge but you will find something you will like and you will find a beer or two to suit your needs. They offer growlers which are standard and at a pretty good price. Overall this is a place for decent food and some good beers that vary in terms of style. If you are in the area, this place is a must stop because I can't really think of anywhere else around that can compete.

My girlfriend and I stopped at Fitgers for dinner while driving cross country, by recommendation of a friend. We were a bit surprised to find it to be an entire complex of shops built in the skeleton of a large regional brewery. I loved the way incorporated some of the old brewery apparatus (like the top of a 150 BBL copper kettle, and old bottling equipment) into the facility. The brewery itself seemed small in the old building.

It took us a bit of time to find the brewpub, but when we did, we were seated almost immediately. The service was exceptional, it was a Friday night (although an hour earlier than we thought because of the time change), but our waitress was prompt, friendly and engaging. The service was quick, which we really appreciated, considering we weren't done driving for the night.

We shared a Starfish Pale Ale and a beer from their guest tap, something from Summit, but I can't remember what. Both were really good.

For food, I had the fish and chips, which was probably the best I'd ever had. My girlfriend had an olive burger, which she has been trying to replicate ever since.

Overall the beer was great, the food was amazing, the price was fair and the service was unbeatable. If I lived anywhere close to Duluth, I would make it a point of going to Fitgers on a regular basis.

This brewpub has the distinction of being in a building that once was a regional brewery in Duluth(Fitger's). The brewery complex is actually an upscale mall with many shops and restaurants. The crown jewel is this brewpub. It's always crowded and for good reason-the selection and quality of their beers is exceptional. The interior is modern, with a small u-shaped bar adjoining the grill(the brewing equipment is visible from the hallway outside the pub but not from inside the brewpub itself). The walls are festooned with brewery signs and beer memorabilia. There is limited outdoor seating on a small patio.

In an arrangement unique in Minnesota at least, an adjacent bar and dance club, The Red Star, across the hall(with the same owners)also serves Fitger's Brewpub beers, including some that aren't available in the brewpub proper. So, as to selection, there are 10 different styles in Fitger's and 6 in the Red Star(there is some overlap). At Fitger's I drank samples of an IPA, an American pale ale, a British pale ale, a Belgian farmhouse saison, and an oatmeal stout. In the Red Star, I drank a beer unavailable at Fitger's, a double IPA. There were also a Belgian tripel and an apricot wheat(untasted). All tasted were authentic to style and of exceptional quality.

The food is good and filling and includes a variety of salads, sandwiches and burgers. There is a decent selection of vegetarian fare, including a very tasty hummus platter.

This is one of the premier brewpubs in Minnesota with an unrivaled variety of beer styles. If you visit Duluth, or are just passing through, this is a must-visit destination. In fact, it's worth a trip in and of itself.

What a great place. I live in Minneapolis, and my wife and I get up to Duluth about once a year for conferences.

Every time we go to Duluth we hit Fitger's. The beer is wonderful and the spot is very comfortable and cool.

They always have a nice selection of brews on tap, a cask offering, and craft soda for the kids and non-drinkers.

The beer flight is a great value and option...7 beers (3 ouce pours) for 7 bux. Then, if you can catch happy hour you can get pints of your favorites for $3.75...

Great stuff. Also, they don't import out of Duluth, so it's a special treat...

I cannot say enough good things about Fitger's. It's very much Duluth and although a bit touristy, definitely worth a stop. An exceptionally large selection of brews on tap ranging from deliciously light session beers to ground-pounding imperials.

The brewing staff is generally very friendly and willing to answer questions while pouring you some samples. An exceptionally interesting and amiable bartender by the name of Brock seems to be there every time we are, so we seek him out. The wait staff is large and varies quite a bit, but everyone seems to be pretty nice.

The food is consistently very very good. I'd put it at the upper end of traditional pub fare. The burgers are stupendous, with the wild rice burger being my favorite. Whatever you do, don't forget to order sweet potato fries! They're the best I've ever had. Regarding brews - the Big Boat Oatmeal Stout is a staple for me, and my ladyfriend cannot seem to get enough of the Apricot Wheat.
