On tap at Piece. Served in a 8 oz fluted tulip.
A- pours a murky brown, with a 1 finger tan head. Minimal lacing.
S- Brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon.--
T- toasted malts, Brown sugar, dark fruits, vanilla, bourbon, and some light pine.
M- full body and medium carbonation. Thick and syrupy, marked it down a tick because there is some heat.
O- very good barleywine and one I wish was around more.

Enjoyed on tap at FOBAB. Served in a my FOBAB taster glass.
A: Pours a dark ruby color with a light khaki head. It recedes slowly to a thin film and ring.
S: Dark fruits, smooth bourbon and sweet caramel malts. It's not out of this world, but it is good and blends nicely together.
T: The taste is much better. Sweet bourbon with some oak. Caramel and toffee malts with a milk chocolate sweetness. Some semi-bitter cocoa, dark fruits and a nice roasted malt presence as well.
M: Medium high body with a medium low carbonation. Very smooth and creamy.
O: I definitely enjoyed this beer. Even after all the great beers enjoyed at FOBAB this beer still stood out as winner.

On draft on site served in a tulip glass for 10 bills. Murky ass brown....no appeal to stink it as it resembles dirty sewer water. However , nice times of caramel and vanilla persuade me to have a drink. God carbonation for such a high alcohol beer , sweet, a lil vanilla detected. No lacing on my glass. A good beer to have , dis not drink like a 13% beer. Have it while u can, request it if u dint see it on the menu.

A - Dirty brown looking beer with a bit of a head on it. Moderate retention, good spots left on the sides.
S - On the sweeter side with some caramel malts, vanilla, bourbon, and oak. Would prefer some hop addition or more toasted notes to cut into it a little bit.
T - It's a sweet barleywine, with caramel, vanilla, oak, molasses, little dark fruit. Once again, would prefer some hop bite on the end to cut into the sweetness, but it's solid. There is more alcohol here than I was guessing from the nose, and it does help a little bit.
M - Medium bodied, moderate carbonation.
O - Good beer, went down pretty easily, although I like them less on the sweet side. Would definitely drink this again. Although there is som alcohol, at 13% it is entirely acceptable, and not bad.

I'm not a big BW fine, but this was pretty tasty. Dirty orange/brown pour with a big head.... Not a lot on the nose, but a pretty rich, malty punch in the mouth... the alcohol is NOT playing hide and seek here... Definitely one to take your time with..and you may need more than one pizza to pad the belly. Enjoy

On-tap at the pub for its "barleywine" release... Pours a dark medium murky body, doesn't look nearly as good as the crisp clear regular version... The aroma is super sweet, lots of vanilla and sweet bourbon, hint of oak, smells great but a touch sweet. Stronger oak or alcohol would help balance this a bit... The taste is good, not as good as the nose though. Some of the heat of the bourbon is gone, lots of vanilla, molasses, and oak... Really light mouthfeel but this is crushable.
A very sweet ba bw but its good and drinkable.
