A Belgian golden ale, brewed with wheat, spiced with tangerine zest, green coriander, and ugli fruit. Hazy golden color, spicy citrus aroma, creamy fruit flavor, medium body.

Served in a wide mouth "Matilda" glass at The Firkin, in Libertyville, IL
I went here with the family and the girlfriend to celebrate my birthday. I was truly happy to find this one off Rick Bayless Frontera colab beer on tap.
This beer may not have been a true witbier, but it had many delicious Belgian qualities to it. The appearance was a clear golden orange with a frothy white foam on it that would have stayed all day if so desired. The smell was an interesting melange of fruits. Most predominate of which I found to be a pineapple along with a touch of white grape and banana. After describing the aroma in fruit characteristics it doesn't do the smell justice. The first thoughts I had on this beer were that it had an mild herbal, but mostly floral aroma. The taste has it's own interesting fruits to it as well. There is a bit of tartness to it like that found in both raspberry and some citrus fruits. There is a undercurrent of banana flavor on the palate as well and some clove spiciness on the back end to go along with everything. The mouthfeel is really smooth and easy going. Overall this is one hell of a Belgian beer. I usually don't go for things as fruity as this, but knowing no fruit was added this is one impressive yeast strain that is going on in this beer. I truly enjoyed every bit of drinking this.

Unknown year for this but my guess is that it might be 10 years old
Look - Really nice clear copper color with a nice white head and rimming
Smell - grainy slight floral with a citrus tone as well
Taste - tangerine tea, nice grainy floral-ness that leads to the tea taste with a really nice tangerine as well
Feel - lighter body with a medium light carb. For being roughly 10 years old, impressive
Overall - WAY better than expected and worth the time to drink!
