A: Clear copper in color. Pours with about an 1/8th inch of light tan head that leaves a minimal amount of lacing.

S: Strong floral hops with some underlying spice.

T: Sweet, not malty sweet, more like candy sweet. Noticeable floral hops adds to the candy quality of this beer. While this one is hoppy for sure, the bitterness is held in check.

M: Medium body and medium carbonation.

D: A good beer with noticeable hop character. Ironically, this one comes off as being one of GI's hoppier beers, even though its a style that is typically less hoppy. Only thing detracting from this one is the odd candy-like sweetness.

Pours a brilliantly clear reddish amber with a dense cream colored head that lingers .

Aroma is sweet caramel malt, floral hop, grapefruit and pine.

Medium body, fairly low carbonation, the sip ends with a slightly astringent feel.

Flavor begins with muted grapefruit notes, sweet malt, and ends with a bitter tea-like finish.

Overall a decent offering, a bit more hop bitterness than expected. There is a slight phenolic character that becomes more evident as the beer warms, but it likely would be undetectable in the bottle or on tap.

A: Pours a deep red/cranberry with an off-white, almost light pinkish head with great lace. Holding up to the light gives this a beautiful ruby color.

S: A fig-like smell with some nice back spice. Malts are present with small hints of raspberries and blackberries.

T: Light grape with other subtle fruits with a dry malt back. Taste is not as pronounced as the smell but still good.

M: Medium body while going down smooth. Not much mouth feel as the tastes do not linger for very long.

O: A good, but not great red ale. I enjoy some aspects about the smell, but the taste sort of fell short for me.

A - Copper colored beer that had one finger of white head that receded to a small cap with no ring.

S - Smell is kind of dull, some caramel malts and a muted hop profile. Not a whole lot going on, but not offensive.

T - Strong caramel backbone with a healthy, and surprising given the aroma, dose of hops. A lot of citrus, and resin, but not real piney. This is surpringly good tasting.

M - Slightly creamy with some fizz and carbonation, medium bodied.

O - I was very impressed with this beer, and am usually not a fan of the Amber/Red varieties. Good stuff if you are looking for a hoppy version of one.
