Formerly Goose Oktoberfest
Goose Fest Bier is brimming with notes of toasted malt and freshly baked rye bread. This light-bodied German lager is clean and crisp with a fine noble hop character and mild earthy bitterness that is the hallmark of Hallertau hops. Raise a few steins of Goose Fest Bier this fall and celebrate this time-honored tradition, Prost!

12 oz bottle. Pours bright clear amber, thick fizzy head fades fast. Sweet malty candy like aroma. Has a nice sweet malty taste to start with a clean mineral quality. Some grassy hops balance the sweetness fairly well. The finish however left a lingering aftertaste that I'm not crazy about, sorta like a burnt toffee, chemical like, not terrible but just odd. Mouthfeel is medium, buttery. Overall not bad, a little different tasting marzen.

This is a good solid domestic Oktoberfest in my opinion. Not going to break any world records or win any medals but it's a good beer. Caramel malt sweetness with a touch of hops... I'm definitely getting the rye bread aspect here. I picked this up in lieu of Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest which the store was out of. I don't like it quite as well but it is still a good beer to watch football with on a chilly Saturday night.

This one pours a light orange-ish/amber color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This has an interesting orange jam aroma, with some more typical crusty bread, grassy, and honey-like aromas.
This doesn't feel exactly to style, but it's still pretty tasty. There's orange and spicy hop character, maybe a touch too high for the style, along with a great bready and just slightly sweet malt backbone.
This is light bodied, crisp, and really drinkable, with a typical amount of carbonation.

Appearance: Pours a deep bronze, golden color with a white head. SRM of 12 (3.75)
Aroma: Light aromas of grass, honey, and fresh baked bread. (3.50)
Flavor: Flavor is similar to the nose. There is grass with a hint of lemonflower. Then fresh baked bread. Yet, it's dry and finishes light and clean. (3.25)
Feel: Lighter-bodied. Decent carbonation. Crisp and clean. Representative of the German style. (4.0)
Overall: This beer doesn't quite hit it for me. It is just right in terms of body and crispness. It nails the body of a German festbier, but it does not back it up with flavor. Ultimately, it lacks flavor and falls sort of flat in my mind. Not bad, but just misses the mark. (Final Rating: 3.42)

12 ounce bottle with a BB date of 19JAN20. So this is pretty fresh. As for the style, its one of the worst Marzen's I've had. Ever since GI was bought out, the quality of their beers have suffered. The best attribute with this one was probably the mouthfeel. Vey light bodied. It's not an offensive beer at all, but the nose and flavor profiles are extremely subdued. Would not buy again.

Clear deep golden color with off-white head. Aroma is mostly malty and bready. Taste follows with grainy malts, bread crust, a bit of honey and floral hops on the finish. Medium to light body with medium carbonation. Decent, well made märzen.

Straight reddish amber look with no head and a nose based on caramel malt, bread notes , and a touch of yeasty funk. Broad, balanced flavor, with surprising hop presence, but also plenty of buttered biscuit. Chewy body, especially for the style. I kind of liked this despite mediocre expectations.
