Scored a bottle at the markets at Sarlat la Caneda..
Murky honey body with some nice yellow highlights around the edges and a small noisy very fizzy head that dissipates straight away. No lace.
Aroma is candi sugar, a hint of malt and a touch of white wine.
A good mouthfull of malty body with almost zero carbonation serves up a sweet honey malt, no hops, and an emptiness through the middle and back palate that reminds me of cold filtering (from what I remember) although the label specifically says "non-filtrée". There are some strong tea like tanins and astringency towards the end, and the beer finishes honey sweet again.
Reminds me of a decent home brew attempt at a belgian blonde.

An interesting take on the Belgian pale.
Pours slightly more ruddish orange/brown hay than golden with a creamy head that gives way to a bit of persistent lacing and foam around the edges. A tad hazy.
Taste is a nicely balanced blend of malt (biscuity, and a bit of caramel/toffee note), yeast induced fruity esters and a clean dry finish with just a touch of earthy hop.
Medium to light bodied properly effervescent, it goes down easily... if unremarkably. A Belgian pale with a nod towards England. Alright... glad to try... nothing that makes me excited about the "single" style, unfortunately.

Beer bottle (33cl), tasted in 2002.
Appearance: blond golden color (trouble), with white thin foamy and compact head, good persistence.
Smell : grassy, floral
Taste and mouthfeel : herbaceous with low bitterness. Notes of coriander and honey.
Drinkability : a refreshing beer (bio) in the style Belgian pale ale.
