On tap at Volo for the tap takeover. Into a tulip.
Poured a hazy/lightly murky pale orange. Moderate head, with some pretty good retention. Nose holds fresh cut plums, almonds, plum skins, and general sour notes. Lightly funky with some wheat. Taste has more of the sour plum, mostly in terms of flesh and skins. Some earthy and plum/stone fruit pits. Lightly woody character, maybe an offshoot of the pitty notes I was getting. Mouthfeel is tart and puckering, high and zippy carb. Medium length finish, with some almond notes lingering around. Great drinkability, and one of the best sours I've had (in my limited experience within the style).

Sour plum beer brewed for Volo for their 3rd annual DDC tap takeover.
Light peach colour, hazy, giant dense white head, sticky with lots of lace. Smell is of plum and yeast, floral notes, very fruity, mild spice profile as well, lightly funky. Taste is tart with ripe plum, sour notes, plum skin and pit flavours, yeasty, dark fruit, sour candy like notes. Aggressive carbonation, good mouthfeel, medium weight. Probably the highlight of the evening, this tasted exactly like biting into a plum, glad I got to try this one and hope it makes a comeback.

On tap at Bar Volo, the DDC tap takeover. Cloudy yellow and lacey, this smiled most mildly of plum skin (thanks Peter) "wine", a tad alcohol in nose. Medium mouthfeel. A rich liquor quality taste, a great sourness if you are into that sort of thing, a sipper and a continuous sipper. A palate finisher best left to the end of the evening, and leaving its effect many hours later.
