Pours a cloudy orange-pink with a thin white head. Citrus and a touch of wheat and spice in the nose. Very pleasing to the eye. A little bit of funk upfront.

An interesting citrus twang with an herbal dry down. Juicy notes of fresh raspberries and strawberries. An interesting note that accentuates the wheat and the yeast used -- mildly phenolic but leaning more toward hay and barnyard funk. A touch fruity. Rather crisp, though, and decently balanced considering all it has going on. Complex but refreshing and quite drinkable.

A pretty cool "herbed/spiced" beer. It has a delicate but complex nature to it that really defies categorization. I could certainly drink more than one, particularly on a warmer day. This would be an excellent choice for brunch to replace your typical sparkling beverages.

Poured from 330 mL bottle into tulip.
A: Pours a murky, dirty rose color with a faint white head that quickly dissipates. Dark red (berry-like) sediment at the end of the pour.
S: Hibiscus, medicinal herbs, and soft and sweet caramel malt.
T: Fresh hibiscus (better here than in the aroma), red berries (raspberry, strawberry, etc.), a dry earthy mineral note, and a general floral/herbal note.
M: Light body. Delicately sweet. Finishes slightly dry with a pleasant lingering fruit/berry note.
D: A well done "interesting" brew. Nicely sessionable and very refreshing. Would pair well with light picnic fare.
