11.5oz bottle poured into a Cantillon wine glass.
A - Pours a dark brown, with flecks of black in the thickest part of the beer. Has a bit of a cola-esque appearance elsewhere. A big, foamy head, almost 3-fingers in height and mocha in color takes its spot as a crown and lingers for a good amount of time. Lots of spattered, thin foam comprises the lacing that covers a lot of the glass.
S - Big coffee notes arise almost immediately and definitely jolt me awake. Bold without being overly roasty, and definitely takes center stage. Not much chocolate here, but there are traces of bitter, dark chocolate. just a big shot of espresso and a bit of alcohol at the end. Focused and to the point.
T - Taste is much like the nose but a bit more astringent. From start to finish, a powerful vein of java shoots throughout the mouth and pumps coffee notes everywhere. It's no secret and it's certainly not subtle, but that is what one would expect from this beer. Much more roasty than in the nose, and again the chocolate backdrop is there to add a bit more dimension. One of the closest beers to an iced coffee for sure, and it does its job well. As in the nose, it finishes with a bit of heat to keep it a bit of a sipper.
M - Mouthfeel is surprisingly lighter-bodied than I would've though with medium carbonation. Not to say it's thin, but it's definitely not syrupy or thick, and even has the texture of a cup of coffee. Finishes slick and leaves an acrid aftertaste.
D/O - Drinkability is moderately high. From a pure coffee standpoint, this beer definitely ranks up in the highest echelon, as from start to finish to aftertaste it brings the roast in spades. In terms of a beer, I highly enjoyed it, but the one-tracked mind of it makes it rough to drink a whole lot of this. A great pick-me-up beer that could substitute for an early pot in the morning if one so inclined.

Poured black as night, it was served with a collared khaki head of thick foam and had nice lacing.
The scent is nicely varied with chocolate malt, caramel, marshmallow, light espresso and overtures of roasted coffee.
The taste is more coffee-centric, with a strong roast and char presence. Bits of dry chocolate are there but very little sweetness. The beer is smooth, with no visible alcohol presence. Very good flavor, great scent, very good beer.
