For Burlington itself, selection wise this would be your go-to, however, when and if you enter this place, be sure to take your dust gloves - yes, there's a ton of dust on most of their bottles in the warm area. The cooler seems to rotate quicker. They get Heady on Tuesdays - I think around 2 pm or whenever the truck gets there and they're ready to serve it to the customers. But if you have the means, I say go to Winooski Beverage for a greater selection, slightly and less dust. Pearl Street does have a growler section, I think that started sometime in 2015.

I was not impressed with Pearl Street Beverage. I won't even compare it to the other local shops, just to shops in general.
It's got a decent selection of crafts and imports, but honestly, I didn't even find anything to buy, meaning they didn't have a single beer I haven't tried.
I felt the service was completely unconcerned, as if I could be standing there or not, because there would always be another customer behind me; and if that's the case all of the time, you're on your own. I didn't even ask about the Alchemist or Lawson's because I knew they didn't have it.
Finally, they don't even have a bathroom you can use. Fortunately my next stop was about a block away, the 3 Needs (or was that 4, because I needed the bathroom as well?).
If you really want beer find a way to get to Beverage Warehouse. If it was me, I'd even be willing to walk.

really nice laid back vibe. people will ask you if you need help finding anything but otherwise pretty unassuming. they have probably the best selection of Maine Beer Co beers that I've seen after living in Boston for a year and Burlington for a year ... hell yes!! They also get delivery of Heady Topper, Sip of Sunshine, Tribute, and other great VT IPAs - and the supply tends to sick around a bit longer than it does at other places. They have some good releases there, although not up to par with some of the other top notch beer stores in VT. however, I have 'stumbled upon' both a 4pk of founders KBS and Hill Farmstead Edward, which are two beers that usually would be sold out immediately upon release. Only complaint is there are some older bottles, but most of the beer that needs to be super fresh (NE IPAs) is canned within a few weeks to a month.

Great selection, if you can muster up the energy to confront their hostile and outright rude staff.

Came here looking for Heady Topper. (I'm not from Vermont) Sadly, I was told they only have it one day a week and it sells out fast. Instead, I bought a bunch of local Vermont beers I usually don't see at home. Looking forward to drinking them. Amazing selection of not only beer, but also wine and liquor. Prices a lot more reasonable than what I'm used to in NY. Service ok. There was nobody on the floor to help, but I didn't need any.
A funny and nearly semi tragic story about their leave your bag or backpack at the front policy. So I left my backpack in the front and went on my shopping spree. I paid at the register and lugged my purchases over to Church St to meet my wife. We had spent the day in Burlington and we're ready to head back to Lake George, which was where we were staying for the weekend. We head back, still lugging the stuff, back to the car on College Avenue near the lake. Just as we were about to leave, my wife says "where's the backpack?!" I went pale and then remembered how I left it at the store. We got in the car and drove straight there. Luckily it was still there! Phew!!!!!!

Nothing more than a bottle store with a great selection. Pearl Street has one of the best I've seen so far in Vermont. It is a college town bottle shop and on the weekends it gets a little wild with the kid trying to get cases of cheep beer and bottles.
Overall if you looking for a wide selection of beer from across the globe this is the place. I saw beers from all over Europe, Brazil, Asia and the States.
This is an unassuming gem of a store - just don't expect a beer nut to be telling you what you can find out on BA.

This place is ghetto.
I go there only in a pinch when I need to get Bourbon County or Heady Topper.

I don't know that this place has much of a vibe or anything like that. It is a liquor store that is downtown. It is not huge nor is it small. They have a pretty good selection of beers on shelves and in coolers. It might not be the end-all-be-all, but if you are visiting VT, they are surely a good option to get to try some stuff you wouldn't get back home. The staff have been helpful the couple times I have been there. Even telling me where to go to find HT (since I wasn't there on their delivery day). Would go back.
