They should call this place Two Brothers West. On vacation and it's weird/nice to see a sort of recreation of the Western suburbs nearly halfway around the world.
The place is tucked in the corner of a strip mall in Kahana, not in Lahaina. Sort of tough to find if you don't know it's there. Stopped by for lunch and the place was pretty empty. Decked out in the same kind of modern industrial mixed with beer hall that Two Brothers does. The ceilings here are much higher though. Grabbed a table and checked out the draft list which had about their entire line up on tap, plus some guest beers for good measure. Had a Black Poweder IPA (which I believe was made with rye) and was excellent and finished with a Black Pearl, which is their CoCoNut Porter aged in rum barrels. Very tasty as well.
The food was great as well. I had the local platter, which at the time of this writing consisted of salmon couscous, shredded pork with BBQ sauce and salad greens. I'm not a food guy, so my description does not do any justice as to how good the food was. My girlfriend has the Mahimahi sandwich and that was also excellent.
I only wish the service we experienced was a bit better. It was a bit slow and slightly inattentive, but other than that, no complaints.
Am probably going to make another trek out here before I leave, the beer is fabulous and the food isn't bad either. Also if anyone has been to Two Brothers, their menus (Maui Brewing Co.) look almost identical in both layout and offerings.

A great place to grab a bite and a pint. 15+ taps and lots of new beers to try. Food is great pub food and is reasonably priced. A place you can bring the whole family or go out with your buddies for a drink. Love the use of old kegs as lights and decorations.

I have been going to Maui, Hawaii for years now and this is one of my favorite breweries. They always have a lot of Brewpub only releases and they are usually quite delicious. I am a huge fan of the buffalo wings and their salads too, they grill their wings and the salads are prepared with delicious dressing and taste fresh. Their freight train IPA tastes identical to zombie dust (favorite pale ale) and that is always a winner for me while I am out here. They also have a diverse beer menu that can have anyone happy. This is a must try if your in Maui, Hawaii!

Maui Brewing has some tasty beers, so I made it a point to stop by here when on vacation. The first thing that struck me was just how vast their beer selection was. I had tried some of their beer they distribute in the past, but was blown away by all of the different beers they had on tap.
The atmosphere was decent, although nothing spectacular (the brewpub is in a strip mall) it felt like any other brewpub you would go to, definitely a family environment. The service was good and the food was actually quite good as well. Prices were reasonable, especially considering how expensive Hawaii can be.
I would recommend anyone who loves beer to stop by the Maui Brewing pub when you are on Maui!

Maui Brewing is a pretty cool place in a small shopping center. Inside has a slightly industrial feel with small kegs cut in half and used as light covers and the like. They offer up around 15 of their own beers and a few guest taps too. Their offerings represent a full range of beer styles and I am pretty sure anyone can find something they would enjoy. Service is pretty average though. Their food is pretty average and I would probably recommend not eating here for a full meal. Their beer prices are reasonable but their food items can be pretty steep. This is a must visit place if you are on Maui.

This is one of the my favorite brewpubs I have ever been to. I went to the Brewery and after the tour they gave you a coin for a free beer at the brewery or the brewpub, so we headed down the street to the brewpub. The place is so nice. It has a very calm and cool environment. They have a great selection of beers, much more than the brewery. The service was above average, but there was only one guy when I was working and he was slammed. He still did a good job, but they should have had more people working. The prices are typical of a brewpub. I would love to come back here again if I ever go back to Maui.

(Visited 12/2010): Maui Brewing Co's brewpub location is in the Kahana Gateway Center on Honoapiilani Highway. There is a good-sized parking lot in the plaza.
The interior is open with a utilitarian look and feel. Brewing equipment is viewable behind glass, and there is a huge chalkboard that lists available beers. The bar is toward the rear of the space, and there is bench/table seating elsewhere. One cool aspect of the decor is lighting made out of kegs.
The brewpub's selection includes 9 house beers plus 2 guest taps. The Maui beers include most of the flagship offerings plus some more unique beers like a smoked hemp ale, mango wheat, jalapeno pepper Blonde and a Belgian Abbey. All of their beers are solid.
Service on a weekday lunch was good. Both our server and the bartender were knowledgeable and friendly.
Food at Maui is good as well. We both enjoyed our sandwiches and seafood dishes.
Overall this spot was well worth the drive from the port, and I would recommend to anyone visiting the island.

I was happy to be able to hit up a good brewery on a leisure trip to the islands. It's in a newish strip mall in the northern extent of what is considered the Lahaina city limits. It's 10 minutes north of Old Lahain Town (Front St.). Location was nothing special, right off of the highway not really near the beach. The place is very open, high ceilings with skylights, and tables strewn about the floor. The door was open (as it should be in HI) the entire time to give it quite an airy feel.
We went during off hours (between lunch and dinner) on a weekday. Thus, we pretty much had the place to ourselves, so service was good. They seems to have plenty of staff for the time we were there.
They had several offerings on tap, roughly 15 beers with a Sierra Nevada guest tap. Maui Brewing makes quality beers of all styles so there shouldn't be an issue finding more than one that you like. Between the three of us we tried every one. If the chipotle beer is offered... beware. It's not for most.
The food selection was pretty interesting. They had mainland comfort food, meat and potatoes, several fresh pizzas, and sandwiches. The prices weren't cheap, but for Maui they weren't bad. If you can afford Hawaii's most expensive island, you can afford to hang out here for a few hours. Good experience.

Went twice in Jan. 2011.
Our first visit was really good. We had a great waitress who was very attentive. They had a couple of guest beers (Sierra Nevada Reserve and something from Pizza Port). But I decided to stick to ones from Maui brewing company.
They had a good selection of tap beers. The ones normally seen in cans were on tap (big swell IPA, CoCoNut porter, bikini blond). In addition they had a range of other styles to choose from. -- a couple of wheat beers made with fruit, a pilsner, Ode to Carol Belgian ale, Santa's little helper, and Lorenzini 6th Sense IPA (an IPA jointly made with Pizza Port). Plus another 4 or 5 taps that I don't remember.
The food is mostly the kind of things you find in brew pubs. (Sandwiches, pizza) What we had wasn't bad.
We went back a second night, and it wasn't as good the second time. This time our waiter was a no show for the first 10 minutes or so. Eventually another waiter came over and took our drink orders, saying our waiter was busy or something. Eventually our waiter materialized. After that the service got a little better, but it was a little lacking.
Maui isn't known for a lot of variety beer-wise. This was the best place we found. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the West Maui area.
