This is suppose to be a beer collab between Jolly Pumpkin and Maui Brew. Co., It's a fruit/wild red ale made with liliko'i (passion fruit) and Michigan tart cherries. Ther beer, which they called "ruby red" is actually more of a rusty red, but it still looks grrreat! Then the whole smell and and taste thing happened... The smell is very earthy, reminding me of a wheat husks, I do not sense any fruit, or anything else, the beer is simply wheaty. The taste remind me of a faintly tart wheat beer (beliner weisse? no.) I was really expecting some more fruit, and way more tartness, kind of what you'd get from the Baudelaire from Jolly Pumpkin but with more of a fruity tartness, this beer to me is lacking. The mouthfeel nothing splendid, just average, the beer is dry and nicley carbonated, but that being said it is average. Overall, try the beer. I was expecting something completley different and I got kinda shot down, you might like it, but I did not.
