Pours a clear iced tea color with a 1 inch beige head that fades to nothing. No lace on this one. Smell is of toasted malt and a variety of nutty aromas. Taste is pretty much exactly the same although it's hard to isolate macadamia nuts in the smell or taste. A mild bitterness on the palate after each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good brown ale but again the macadamia nut addition to this beer is hard to sense.
