A: thick, 3 finger brown head. Pitch black. Nicely carbed.

S: dark fruit, chocolate, molasses.

T: molasses, thick black coffee, lingering bitterness, sharp alcohol bite, more booze, roastiness.

M: dry, leaves mouth feeling like a desert with a hint of alcohol emanating out.

O: would definitely stave off the cold in russia. I'm sure rasputins fermaltahyded phallace would also be engorged even in the frightfully coldest of nights. All things aside. Wonderfully drinkable. Great for the style.

Poured into a goblet

A - Pours a sexy completely black liquid, which liberates a 2 finger light brown head that slowly faded and left light lacing.

S- great nose of chocolate, mocha, light vanilla and light malt. great nose

T - Awesome wave of mostly the same as the taste. Chocolate, coffee and malt. Very nice.

M - Full bodied and lightly chewy. Drinks well.

O - After trying many very good RIS, this still satisfies and impresses. It is worth finding and drinking on a regular basis.

12 oz bottle was poured into a snifter.

Appearance: This beer poured a one finger mocha head that reduced to a thin layer. It is a pitch black color with no clarity or bubbled seen coming up the glass. Nice lacing on the glass as the beer was drank.

Smell: Roasted coffee, mocha, smoke, sweet malts, a little booze, and molasses. Pretty standard RIS aroma.

Taste: Same as above with lingering bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, full bodied, low carbonation, and a little boozy.

Overall: Pretty solid RIS. Enjoyed in the past, now, and more in the future.
