This one of my favorite beers. Great taste and smooth! I love the flavor! When I first had it, I feel in love with it! I am happy that Publix started to carry it! I have only had in bottles. Even the bar that I discovered this greatness at only severed in bottles. If you are out with some friends, pick this brew up and have a taste!

A-Pours a hazy golden color. Big, fluffy white head. Head retains for the entire glass. Lots of lace.

S-Belgian Pale all the way. Yeasty and fruity with some noble hops. On par with the style.

T-More of the same here. It is very agreeable. It doesn't overpower my palate with too much candied fruity flavors. Its not too bold in one area of flavor. Not too yeasty, which I am also happy with.

M-Drinks very easily but the booze does sneak up to the back of the tongue. Medium bodied and somewhat crisp.

O/D-My palate doesn't always agree with Belgian Pales. This one I enjoyed with ease. A pretty tasty take on the style.

A - Orange\yellow pour with a lively white foam that stays for a while. Laces rings on a tulip glass and has visible carbonation moving about.

S - Nice smell of berries and and fresh cut flowers. Has a little of the bubblegum smell common with belgian yeast.

T - Really enjoayable beer. Has plenty of sweet flavors and tastes of syrupy fruit cocktail, light grains, and fruit juices. Over time I found it to bring out more flavors of fresh bread.

M - This was extremely friendly to the palate, went great with food, and was light enough to have more then one. Masks the modest ABV very well.

O - wierd I never got around to this unitl now. Can hold its own with the more popular Belgian imports of this style. And its better on the price by me.

Really wanted to enjoy this one more than I did. I've recommended it to people who have thoroughly enjoyed it, but I guess it's not for me. It smelled a little funky, like a stable or something and was a little overspiced in my opinion. It's a bold brew from North Coast and I see why others would dig it. A handful of places around here carry it on their taps and I wouldn't shy anyone away from giving it a shot.

Found at My Place in Newtown, CT, this shows a cloudy golden tan color with a big white fluff on top in the tulip glass and great, chunky lace. Pleasant banana clove and light lemon wheat bread hits the nose. Fairly classic and very classy. Flavor is more grassy-lemon and slightly malty wheat bread with a more subtle clove with floral banana and altogether a delicious brew. Medium-light bodied with a fizzy but smooth feel. Very nice!

Aroma: Bold light fruity esters, banana, peach and apricot. Some clove and black pepper. White sugar. Sweet light malts.

Appearance: Pale orange, thick and hazy. Like apricot juice. Bright white head. Some foam remains around the edges. Spotty lacing.

Taste: Big bold fruity esters. Sweet and very pleasant. White sugar keeps the sweetness going. Some citrus bitterness, very mild lemon and orange. Clean grains, bready finish. This is superb. Some clove and mild pepper spice throughout.

Mouthfeel: Medium body. Slick and creamy. Mild carbonation. Finishes mild to moderately dry from the bitterness and ABV.

Overall: Very impressed. Bold yet very clean and smooth. Where are they hiding the 7.6% ABV? Seems just about too sweet when the dry bitterness kicks in. I (wish I) could (afford to) drink this daily.

Had on tap at cock and bull in Covington. Served in a tulip.

A- very bright gold hue that is quite hazy. Crazy white head balloons to two fingers then recedes to a nice navel of thick foam on the sides. Little spots of lace hang on after each sip. Textbook Belgian.

S- weak yeast and a bit of bubblegum come through this murky concoction. Apples also come to mind but overall kind of on the weaker side in the olfactory category, more surprising since its on draft.

T- wow this is a great tasting beer. All of those great tasting Belgian characteristics of ripe fruit mixed with spicy yeast but nothing that is crazy strong. Coriander and apple banana smoothie with a kick of yeast funk. Great.

M- probably the easiest drinking Belgian I have ever had strong yet so smooth flavors that just GLIDE down. Less carbonation than most in the style but I think that is a better direction.

Overall a fabulous American interpretation on one of the oldest beer styles. Tons of flavor with none if the drawbacks like cloyingness and prickly carbonation. Well done and above all tasty.

Reviewed from notes. Had on tap at Peg's. Poured into snifter glass.

A: Yellow/golden & hazy. Thin, small lacy head.

S: Banana fruity aroma. Yeasty.

T: Fruity, banana taste, mild malt coming through. Belgian yeast predominates.

M: Light mouthfeel but appropriate to style. Sweet finish that doesn't linger.

O: Very good, solidly on style.

Had this on tap last night from Taco Asylum. Poured in a pint glass.

A- Finger and a half white head over a pale golden body with nice clarity.

S- Medium malts and a booziness jumps to mind. Has some light fruits to temper the boozy esters.

T- Fruity and muted malts. Quite good with a boozy taste hidden as well.

M- Medium bodied and wet. Kind of chewy.

O- Not my style of beer, but certainly a good example of the style.

Foggy light orange color with a thin wisp of foam ring on top. In a snifter glass.

Coriander, orange marmalade, white pepper, and a hint of green tea. Yeasty.

Very peppery bite on the initial sip. Followed by booze and orangey sweetness. Then, more booze for extra warmth. Spicy for the style. The sugars represent themselves in the finish. There is an overpowering carbonation, that is seriously heavy-duty and unexpected. It almost burns in the mouth when it's cold. Medium body with lower drinkability. Interesting.

I really don't know what I was expecting, but it's merely okay. I'd try it again when I'm not in such a hurry.

Served on draught into a goblet at the Yardhouse in Los Angeles, California. Reviewed from notes. I'd had it out of the bottle before.

A: Pours a 2.5 finger head of fair cream, good thickness, and good retention. Colour is a dark hazy orange-gold.

Sm: Orange citrus esters, wheat, and maybe yeast. A mild strength aroma.

T: Orange citrus ester hops over a wheat foundation, with some light cream. Layered but somehow simple. Balanced.

Mf: Smooth, wet, and a touch sharp. Not too thick nor too thin.

Dr: Very drinkable. I like it. A simple enjoyable little beer.

On tap at Bankers Hill Bar and Grill

A: Hazy golden color with a 2 finger white head.

S: Spicy belgian yeast with some light fruit notes. Golden raisin and golden apples along with some pale malt.

T: I really loved this beer. Pale malt with a nice mild fruitiness of spiced apple and maybe some apricot. The belgian yeast gave it a great subtle funk. Drinkable for days.

Opaque gold with a slightly yellow-white cap, very tight and creamy. The nose is dominated by orange peel and coriander, and the taste is also marvelously spicy, with great juicy fruit flavors as well--orange, apricot, lemon. Love the Belgian yeast, which provides some good mustiness and sour flavor. The flavor is nearly perfect for my palate, and I liked the light mouthfeel with little alcohol taste--I zipped through a glass and had another.

On tap at the Aero Club in San Diego. Big amber beer in the pint glass.

Such a distinctive rich flavor-- buterscotch and chardonnay. Long nose of-- Twinkies? Biscuity malt flavors. Sweet but nicely balanced by the Belgian flavors. A grapey taste along with a fine, mellow yeastiness. Light bodied and totally drinkable. Just strong enough to give a little bite without getting into the sipping-only category. Just enough carbonation. While it's not a seriously Belgian style beer it is extremely clean and well made. I had only tried the bottled version and was surprised at how good it is on tap.

I took notes after discovering this on tap last night at Rocky's, my first time ever seeing in on tap.

This beer on tap is similar to its bottled counterpart with a few exceptions. In a richer, deeper and more complex flavor, the banana component from the Belgian yeast is just slightly stronger, adding just a touch more balance and a ghost more sweetness to it. A very gentle spiciness is able to mingle a bit more with the rest of the flavors without overpowering them. All in all, this already fantastic and delicious beer becomes even more flavorful and subtleties are better appreciated.
As creamy smooth and yet crisp as from the bottle, this is even more extravagantly lush on tap. This flows as beautifully as any beer I've ever drunk, and no crispness is lost. A true beauty.
This is, generally speaking, an accessible beer. Buy it. If you ever see it on tap, though, do yourself a favor and don't pass it up.

On tap at the George St Alehouse in New Brunswick. Arrives in a pint glass with a half finger of foam. Extremely cloudy, almost milky - not very appealing. Aroma is yeasty, banana, slightly phenolic.

First sip is again dominated by yeasty, spicy flavors. Banana and phenols are the primary flavors. It certainly resembles a Belgian pale ale, but I prefer mine with some more hop flavor, and a nice malty sweetness. This one just tastes like yeast to me. Not my personal preference.

Light lemon yellow-colored ale with a bubbly white head. Slightly hazy looking. Good head retention but weak lacing.

Bright and fruity, yeasty, floral aroma.

Lots of fresh fruit and yeast in the flavor. Fresh apple sweetness. Coriander spice. Lemon tartness. Complex flavor that hits you all at once.

Medium bodied and very easy to drink. Lots of tiny bubbles hit the tongue and add to the crisp, bright feel.

This is good. Lots of interesting flavors and easy to drink.

On draft at Mugs. Pours hazy orange with literally zero head. Zero. No lace, nothing. That means the smell is weak and hidden. What's here is good though, fruity and sweet, hints of yeast. More aroma please!

Really sweet, super fruity, strong yeast with hints of funk. Sweet start to finish, great for people who are new to beer and like sweetness. Nice, full body; pretty active carbonation. I normally don't like this but it works well.

Easy drinking here. Could easily down another pint.

This was definitely a tasty beer, and very refreshing. Golden orange in color, thin white head. It smelled slightly of spices. Taste is very fruity and wheaty, well balanced. Mouthfeel was light and smooth.

First had: on tap at Misconduct Tavern, Philly, PA

Poured by the bartender into a pilsner glass (whatever), a hazy golden color with a small layer of milky head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, with a bit of funk, bready, with light notes of fruit and spice. Tastes kind of like a tripel in some ways...Belgian yeast, biscuits, candi sugar, banana esters, with hints of apricots. Medium mouthfeel, leaves a bit of film in the mouth, flavorful and pretty drinkable.

This is a nice fresh beer! I wanted a beer today that wasn't as potent as an IPA. This falls nice on the tounge, as well has a citrus/ oak taste. Color is nice and gold but transparent . Good for a cloudy hungover afternoon. I have to say for being such an above ABV, it taste very light and quite smooth!

This brew came to me on tap at the Bethlehem Speakeasy and I had been looking forward to trying it for a while. The beer was a golden color from what I could tell. The head was thin and left just a little lacing on the glass. The smell of the beer was a little spicy and mostly made up of Belgian yeast aromas. The flavors of this beer are what I thought was pretty standardto the style. It was big ion the bread yeast flavors which brought along some banana and clove. The hops weren't overly powerful here. This brew was overall a pretty good attempt at creating an authentic Belgian ale. I just wasn't overly thrilled by it.

Served on tap @ the House Pub.

This one pours a very cloudy amber orange with a fluffy 2 inch stack of head. Sporadic spotty lace.

The nose is full of clove and Belgian spice. Some bananas and grassy notes are most prominant.

The flavor of this brew represents the style nicely for an American made Belgian. All the Belgian spices are very bold and portray fruity characteristics such as bananas and granny smith apples. Some bready malt is noticed on the back end.

The mouthfeel is medium-bodied with a smooth finish that has a toght amount of carbonation.

Overall, I had this once in the bottle and wasnt nearly impressed. One things for sure tho, it's bomb on draft.
