This is my third visit to the Bullfrog over the past five years. Some times its been a "hit or miss situation" with regard to the brewer merry-go-round at this brewpub. Its a quaint, understated brewpub, with a full bar service, in the new, improved downtown area of Williamsport. There are some decorative old brewing kettles when you first enter with generous bar area on your left with bar dining as well as a separate dining area in rear of the biulding. There is a more formal, intimate second floor dining area as well. Although it was a cold miserable winter night outside, it was very friendly and inviting inside. There was nine house beers on draft, including an Abbey Dubbel, Pale Ale And IPA. The brews were quite good, especially the IPA (nice balance). The service was very attentive and the Po Boy was delicious. A pleasant surprise.

One of the best nights of my life was spent at the Bullfrog. And when I say "spent", I meant SPENT! Great band, great atmosphere, great beers, great party. I don't know that any brewpub or bar would be able to keep up the pace of that night, but it was awesome. Charlie and Chris were brewing. I know Charlie moved on, but I think Chris is still there. I stopped in early in the day and had the Sailfrog Pale Ale, the Susquehanna Stout and two Belgian ales with lunch. The food was really very good and very reasonable. I didn't intend to stop back, but for some reason I felt drawn to it! I'm glad I did. I tried the remaining beers on tap and had some dinner before a really good band came on. The next day I stopped in for a very LATE lunch which was excellent. The food really is good. I was only able to make it back there for lunch one time since then (no late night!). I hope it hasn't lost it's charisma!
