Description from their website: "A light bodied dry and citrusy farmhouse ale. Brewed with a portion of unmalted wheat, fermented with a blend of three south belgian yeasts and aged montmorency cherries."

Growler secured this past weekend and consumed shortly after. Poured into a pils glass, the brew appears a clouded amber almost a redish hue about it. A white head holds shortly leaving some spotty lacing effect.

The smell includes a lot of wheat sweet grainy quality that mixes with cherry. It gets slightly medicinal when combined in the bose with mild alcohol but overall this is a nice smelling fruit beer that is very natural smelling. I dont however pick up on the described layerings of yeast.

The taste is strong with a natural cherry flavoring. Sweet grain like wheat imparts almost a cereal quality. Tart cherry and wheat really come through in the finish. A mild alcohol inclusion is thrown in the mix and makes this come off somewhat medicinal. The grainy sweetness and cherry and the real drivers to this experience.

This is medium bodied with a light level of carbonation. A nice summer offering thats easy drinking. Overall this was a good fruit beer but I was let down by the description. I was really expecting a saison and just didnt get that from this.
