Right down the street from my apartment, next to a Famous Dave's and Chick A Fila in an enormous shopping center
Good selection, right up there with Torrance, but not as big
Port Lost Abbeys are only seven bucks, as well as Damnation
Carry like 9 Moylans including Triple IPA named Hopsickle, which I have heard very good things about
Tastings every Friday, pretty good deal majority of the time
Carry most of the seasonal stuff from the major microbrewers
One of the guys that works here knows his stuff and also is a big help, supposedly getting Russian River Temptation in the next month or so, which would be great, hopefully they let me buy a case

One of the newest in this chain, this one opened in a quickly developing part of Redlands in February, 2005.
I've been to 4 BevMos now, and they all are pretty much the same except for size (and resulting selection and quality). This store, like the others, has a warehouse store feel with lots of wine, cheese (decent but not outrageous selection), chocolate, glassware, hard liquor, and associated goodies. The place is dominated by red metal shelves that would look very comfortable in a Costco or Sam's Club, and makes me very uncomfortable. I just don't like the atmosphere in these places. Of the 4 I've visited, one was quite large, the other 3 were smaller (of similar size)- this is one of the smaller ones.
The beer- I did a rough count, and came up with approximately 300 different kinds of beer, representing the full line of macros, but also a worldwide variety. Approximately 6 rows of shelves about 6 feet tall, stocked with beers. Not too shabby.
The real strength is in American beer, probably 50% of the selection. Lots of medium and large sized craft brewers available. One strength of this place over other stores is that when they select a brewery, they won't carry just the one most popular beer from that place; they will have a selection of 3 or 4 or 5 from there. On this trip, they even had Sudwerks, which I have never seen outside of Davis!
The overall selection from each country (Belgium, UK, Germany, etc.) is ok, but relatively small (especially Belgium).
Also, and I quote: "Kegs of up to 150 beers available".
Service in all of these stores has been ok, but no where near as good as in the locally owned and run stores.
Overall, a positive addition to the recently very thin options in the Inland Empire- one of the few advantages of a period of huge population growth!

Note- The 3.5 I've given this store for selection, is not because of a lack of, but because of chronic out of stock issues. More often than not, especially with the Belgian set, I can't find things I came for. No one seems to be in a great hurry to re-stock a lot of the missing items, which can get frustrating...
Beverages and more has to be one of the leading places to find craft, import, or seasonal beers. Obviously the store caters to a wide variety of alcoholic beverages, but the four isles dedicated to beer shine through. There is a nice cold selection along with the warm shelves as well. The aisles are divided into American Micro, then continue to section off according to country. Belgium, Germany, India, Russia, England, Thailand, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Austria, Poland, China, Japan....and many more. The store carries beers from four different authentic Trappist breweries. That works for me. The US micro section is not to be overlooked. It takes up the majority of the set, and has enough choices to keep your thirst quenched for a long, long, time....Good Drinking.

This Bev Mo is a good bottle shop overall. I like it for the following reasons:
(1) Friday afternoon beer tastings. They host beer tastings typically at 5pm on Fridays. They are very reasonably priced (like $2-5) and one can learn an awful lot about beer by attending these frequently... be safe and bring a designated driver though because one can get fairly tipsy as their pours are generous and they'll let you taste multiple times.
(2) Selection. Perhaps the best I've seen at a bottle shop in the area. Reasonably priced (for California).
I think it needs to improve in the following areas:
(1) Service/policies. They have an inconsistent track record of accepting out-of-state IDs. One time I went with two California residents and was the first in line. They refused to sale to me and all of my friends. Why? Because I didn't have a passport or California ID (FYI, I was 27 y/o at the time). I was a regular there at that time because I was residing in CA for four years, and I had purchased lots of beer there with my ID, they still refused the sale to all of us. Wierd. If you're going to shop there either bring a passport or CA ID. To the shop, either make a policy of accepting all goverment issued IDs, or post your policy and be consistent with it. It's sort of dick to pick and choose when you're going to follow a "policy."
(2) More check out stands and people to man them. You can oftentimes be waiting greater than 30 min to check out because it can get busy and they usually only have two check counters.
Overall a good place though. Cheers.

Freqeunt this place about every week or so. Pretty standard setup and atmosphere, as far as Bevmo goes...
Selection is pretty good for a Bevmo. They get a good amount of seasonal releases, as they guy who does the ordering is very knowledgable, and tries to get as much in as possible. Service is hit or miss, as with any Bevmo. There are a few people that are pretty knowledgeable about craft, but I have run into a few that have no clue what they are talking about...
Prices are reasonable. The wife loves their 5 cent wine sales. They also have wine tastings on Saturdays, and beer tastings on Fridays...
The only downfall is that this place gets really busy. If you are looking for a specific beer, especially a sought after seasonal, you have to get there on the day the loads come in or you will more than likely be out of luck. Weekends are especially busy, and selection is alot more limited...
All in all, a pretty cool place if you know when to go, and who to talk to. Would definitely recommend staying away on the weekends...

Bevmo in Citrus Plaza.
The atmosphere is the normal for bevmo. They don't go out of their way to help you find rarities and don't do special orders. However if you have a question about what they do have in stock they will answer it. The staff is friendly but they have a better expertise in Wine then in beer.
The quality of service is what one would expect for a chain. Not exciting but not horrible.
The selection is above average for Redlands but limited at best. They carry the usual suspects such as BBC, SN, Great divide, and Stone. Stone deliveries seem to be delayed and often they don't get more then a case of a Sierra Nevada Special release. The Belgian selection is small.
They have a decent selection of party snacks and chesses but I haven't had any of them so I will not rate them for it.
Not bad store but you can easily do better. The small area shops have a more limited selection but you might find a rarer beer.

Pretty good for a chain store, though it definitely caters more towards the liquor and wine crowd. Beer selection is pretty balanced between imports and US microbrews, though they tend to stick to the more common stuff, so don't expect to find much exotic stuff unless you get lucky. Though perhaps the majority of the staff is not particularly knowledgeable about beer, some of the older guys will be able to give you some solid advice on what to try. They'll even tell you where to get the good stuff they don't carry.

Typical BevMo. Good selection and good rotation of the inventory. The staff are only minimally knowledgeable on matters concerning the beers, and always seemed hurried to get you in and out of the store. They are also painfully slow when it comes to the check out line. They need more clerks to help with the checkout when they get really busy.
Good ales from a good company, but definitely lacking in character and customer service. Not bad when I'm buying in bulk, but if I get the chance I'll usually try for somewhere else.
