Pours a HUGE, dense, resiny head that laces nicely. Bright, pine hop aroma. Nice, amber-straw color. Starts off quite bitter with notes of piney grapefruit, and a slightly citric nature. Builds into a hop resin bitterness that is low-high. In the finish, the hops subside into a nice citric nature where a touch of sweet malt shines through.
I like this one. It is quite hoppy and bitter, but it's not overwhelmingly or unpleasantly bitter. It's just bitter enough to be pleasing and satisfying. A very, very nice IPA.

This was my first sampling of Foothills Brewery. I was not disappointed. The color was bright copper. The smell had a wonderful amount of hoppiness. The taste had an excellent balance of strong hoppy bitterness, orange peal, with a bit of coriander. The carbonation was spot on by making this brew highly drinkable.

Poured from a 22oz bomber into a Central Waters Snifter. Thanks to Bulbman for the hookup, my first offering from Foothills.
A: Pours a hazy copper/amber/gold color. Relatively aggressive pour leads to a 1.5 finger frothy white had that fades slowly and leaves a good amount of sticky lacing.
S: Solid grapefruit notes hit the nose first and foremost followed by slight resin and a well balanced malty back end that ties the beer together.
T: Nice slightly bittersweet flavors of grapefruit/tart tangerine rhine hits first and is followed by the sharp bit of the piney hop undertones. Again, nice malt profile balances this beer and ties it together nicely.
M: Sharp finish, perfectly carbonated. Hop oils leave a slight mouth coating.
O: I had a hard time not pounding this beer. It has a very nice flavor and was extraordinarily easy to drink.
