Shared by Brad, thanks. Beer is served in a snifter. Beer is brownish / black sort of dishwater looking, dirty, lazy thin head of tan bubbles, low retention, low carbonation, low lacing.
Aroma is nutty and papery.
Beer tastes a little oxidized but there is more going wrong here than that, it is papery, way too thin, oddly grainy and inappropriately bitter. Not a repeat, this is sort of a mess of a beer. Gross.

Bottle shared by ygtbsm94. Thanks Brad.
Brewed 3 Mar 2010
Bottled April 2010
The beer is chestnut brown with an enormous tan head that encompasses most of the snifter after decanting only a couple ounces. As the foam gradually recedes, it leaves a thick sheet of lacing in its wake.
The aroma offers malt, biscuits, bread. It definitely smells like it was brewed in the English style.
The flavor is just eh...even a bit off. The finish brings a light astringency that seems to linger, discouraging me from partaking in further sips. Also, this doesn't taste like an English stout. While I respect the fact that style guidelines are often blurred these days, as brewers and breweries become more exploratory and creative, I have at least a mild expectation to taste an English stout when I pour an English stout into my glass.
The feel is light bodied. While the low alcohol and thin body might make this sessionable, the off flavors and odd nature of the beer prevent this.
Overall, eh...

Bottle: Poured a light black color stout with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma consists of roasted malt with light dry bitter notes and lightly sweet undertones. Taste is a nice drinkable mix between some roasted malt with light lactose notes and a medium dry finish with light coffee notes. Body is quite light which was to be expected considering the low ABV with some good carbonation. Session-style stout is not a style I usually dig but this was an interesting and very drinkable example.
