Picked this up at my favorite beer store in Belgium, Dranken Geers. Bottled on 1 April 2011, #73 of 170. Crystal clear copper-amber pour with huge three finger head with decent retention and nice lacing. Clouds up at the end with the yummy sediment. Very unique, earthy, herbal, slightly sour nose. Hints of vegetables and grass with some subtle pine and citrus. The taste is nothing like the smell. Tangy, piney hops with a great sweet caramel malt backbone. Hints of Belgian yeast, peaches, and grass. Very juicy and smooth mouthfeel with a nice slightly oily, bitter finish. Another winner from De Molen!

Comes in a 750ml bottle with the traditional white De Molen label. Bottle number 322 from a 366 batch. It's a hazy orange colour with a big creamy off-white head that fades to a thin layer. Very light carbonation. Fruity hop aromas up front with melon, lemons and a hint of oranges, with a clear bready malt aroma behind the hops. The taste it bitter and heavy; the hops bitter the taste well at the start with a almost American style piney tropical fruit taste. The base is very prominent with a solid cake-like sweet malt forming a backbone for the hopping. It's a nice beer, nothing spectacular but it is very drinkable and is something I'd buy if I saw it again.
