Served in a tulip from a tap.
The special thing with this beer is that it has been given most of it´s aroma by Bog myrtle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myrica_gale) balanced by some hops and honey.
This is the classic way to make beer in Scandinavia and it oirginates from the vikings who lived aproximately around 800-1100 a.d.
A: Pours with a really heavy foam. Takes some time for the foam to settle and it leaves a crown that lasts for a while.
The colour it absolutely beautiful, perfect amber. It looks crisp, clear and delicious.
S: The smell from the Bog myrtle is apparent and this is a very sweet smell, a bit like vanilla with a sour twist.
Other smells are ginger, honey and a hint of ammonia.
T: All the smells come back in the taste and it really strikes me how balanced the sweetness of this beer is. All the flavours co-exist in harmony and balances of each other.
The aftertaste is a union of the honey and the Bog myrtle.
M: Very low carbonated and with a lasting foamhead. The body is a bit thin.
D: This feels a lot like a season beer, perfect for drinking with BBQ in the late spring and high summer.
This is not an all-nighter though, but for one to three glasses it´s a really nice beer.
I would much like to have some of these to ease the summerheat with.

The brew is clear brass amber, an off-white large head, that leaves little lacing.
The smellis sweet, dominated by the honey and the sweetgale (Myrica gale) or bog myrtle.
The taste is consistent with the smell, honey sweet, the sweetgale, and very little bitterness. Very modest in hops.
Medium carbonation, refreshing and rather light in the body.
This is probably about what beer was before hops really entered the arena, less bitter. But not a bad brew at all!
