Appearance: Poured from a bottle into an Irish pub style (real) pint glass in low altitude Galway, Ireland, on September 20th 2010. Pours a urine gold with a three finger head. Head is thin and pathetic. This is not an appealing beer.

Smell: A weak scent of amateur barley mixed with water. (Thank Christ it's weak!)

Taste: A fizzy garbage opening of what's left of the dying head, followed by a note of watery barley. At least the flavour is somewhat muted by the water. Finish is a slight uprise of dry bitterness. Who decided to give this beer a "Premium" epithet? It is better than most American macros. I'd like to taste less carbonation, see a better, thicker head, and taste less water.

Mouthfeel: Overly wet and a bad mix of coarse and thin. Abysmal.

Drinkability: Wouldn't buy it again if it were half the price. This beer needs serious work.

250ml bottle. Lager glass. Enjoyed on sep´12. Pale gold in color, crystal clear appearance. White froth, brief crown. Earthy aromas & adjuncts to the nose. Flavor is slightly bitter. Light body, medium to high carbonation. Neither acidity nor off-flavors are shown so drinkability is ok. A pretty correct macro.

28th September 2012: dodgy lager/pilsner tasting (at home).

0.5 litre bottle purchased in a local Lidl store: best before 05/2013, the bottle was poured (three times) into my lovely old DAB funny shaped mini tankard.

Mid-range pilsner gold; clear, clean and bright. A full crown of white foam capped it off nicely, sadly in typical pilsner style that head soon fell away to a thin wispy covering and a collar.

No aroma at all, gets my standard 3 score for a non-smelling lager/pilsner.

This is a dry, refreshing and fairly bitter pilsner and not bad at all: would never have known it was a cheap supermarket brew unless I'd bought it myself.

Pleasantly surprised by the quality to be honest: it was up against a can of 'Galahad' and a bottle of 'Fosters Gold', I told you at the begining it was a dodgy lager/pilsner tasting!

500ml bottle served in a regular glass.

A: Pours a pale yellow clear color forming a medium white aired bubbled head. Medium retention and few lacings left

S: Smells like a lager. Sweet grains, lager yeasts and hops

T: Follows the nose, simple beer. Sweet grains upfront. Corn. Metallic. Stingy hops. Considerable bitter end

M: Very light body. Watery with a fizzy carbonation. Bitter aftertaste is a bit annoying because the hops are quite citrus and dry with not much flavor involved

O: Drinkable but poor in flavor. Expect more from a German pils

Bought at Lidl, this beer is especially made for them. Bottle, 500 ml. It pours a golden yellow colour, with a medium size head of one finger.
Nice smell of malts with a very slight trace of corn.
Nothing special on the taste front, just some slight bitterness, but nothing to be remembered.
Medium thickness and carbonation on the body.
An average beer, but I'll give it an overall of 3.5 because of its drinkability.

look: the beer pours a clear yellow-copper color with almost no head
smell: malts and grain
taste: malts, grain with some hops in the aftertaste. Bit skunk as well
mouthfeel: high carbonation, thin body
overall: not much taste. Beer is skunked, why is it sold in a light green-light brown bottle...

Drank fro my Duvel tulip.

A - Pours a golden colour with a frothy white head that dies quickly.

S - Small grain not much else.

T - Small grain and a littel hop but nothing much.

M - Light body and medium carbonation.

O - This is a pretty average brew.

Poured from a 500 ml bottle into my pint tasting glass. A light golden colour with minimal head but some lacing. Lots of bubbles. Picked this up at Lidl in Puerto for about $1. Bottle claims 4.9% contrary to 4.7% shown above. Smell is mild malts and that is about it-also, some metallic smell and taste. Taste is mild-basically macrolager taste of barley malt. Not very sophisticated. Mild hops. Mouth feel is bubbly and light. Drinkability is okay-if it tasted better. Probably won't seek this out or pick from a grab-bag again.

ABV 4.9. Brewed under Reinheitsgebot.
Light clear golden with decent head, nose is sour and plain, very strong hop notes, very simple grain taste with extraneous metallic tone. Drinkable and nothing special, and of course no artificials at all, refreshes perfectly!

Picked this up in Lidl. A friend of mine just likes flat/light beers.... well excellent choice I made. Warm day, thirsty, let's open one.

A: Light yellow... thanks to the addition of artificial colorants. BOOH!!!

S: Light grains and hops.

T: Same, hops, grains nothing shocking.

M: Medium carbonation, very watery.

D: I was thirsty so this one did its job. Water could've done it too. Not worth the money! And I hate artificials, hence the 1 for appearance.

Brewed for Lidl.

It has a clean yellow color, with few bubbles. And a decent head.
A hint of hop in the smell. and almost no ore.
The taste is more malty than hoppy. Biscuit. Just a bit of bitterness, stale hop.
After all, definitely heavy, with stale notes.
Avoid.
