Poured into a pint glass.
Pours a clear, pale gold, with a stark white head of about two fingers that drops slowly to a thin layer of foam. Leaves very faint traces of lace.
Aromas of earth, grass, lemons, sweet malt. Bready.
Tastes of grainy, bready malt, a little on the sweet side, balancing noble hop bitterness that is barely perceptable. Finish is sweet/malty.
Medium bodied mouthfeel, smooth, no real carbonic bite, good level of carbonation.
Very drinkable beer, nothing aggressive/offensive. Good balance toward malt. Easy drinking beer. Very much to style.

Crystal golden with a few grasping lace fingers. Nose of donuts and turf. Starts a malt jam on toast that's quickly shoved aside for a fine Noble hop bitterness that lingers in a mild-mannered way. Smooth and quaffable and would no doubt go well with sun-dried tomatoes, Feta and olives in a seaside cafe while basking in the Mediterranean sun. A quality Pils.

A - Very light color, small head dissapates quickly, no lacing
S - Very skunky smell, overpowers any other smells there might be
T - Completely different from the smell. No skunk taste. Pretty clean tasting. No adjunct taste, just clean and balanced. Pretty good.
M - Decent full feel.
D - Very drinkable.
Not bad, I wasn't expecting much here but this is really good for an adjunct. Not a lot of complexity, but very clean and smooth.

This was poured from the bottle into a small glass at a Greek restaurant - yes, I'm the weird guy here who wants a glass with his bottled beer.
A - clear golden color with a small head that settles, but has a decent lacing though
S - malty scent with a faint trace of hops, very clean
T - clean malty flavor with a slight trace of hops on the finish; has a honey-like decoction quality
M - medium/light body with moderately high carbonation
D - decent Euro-style lager; it's clean and well done even if this is a common style/taste

Beer three of World beer Sunday imported from Greece.
Pours a deep golden color with a decent white head that displays minimal retention and lace. Smells of bready malts with a hint of melanoid, smells quite German actually. This initially opened with intense aroma of skunk, but over the couple of minutes as I pulled up the listing those aromas are all but gone. Taste is caramel and burnt sugars, bready malt and little to no hop flavor. Medium body and level of carbonation with a sweet almost sticky mouthfeel. This one wasn't half bad, or maybe it was just that much better than the last one. Sweet and malty almost to a fault and I could have used a few more hops.

Aris is a typical European pale golden lager that leans towards being a Czech-style pils. It's clear, golden, and effervescent beneath a creamy head of bright white. The retention and lacing are average; and the aroma offers a fairly generic combination of grassy hops and sweet malt. It's medium-light bodied and crisp in the mouth. The flavor offers malty sweetness, immediately followed by grassy and lemon-ish hops, and then more grainy and cereal-like maltiness at the swallow. The bitterness is solid, and it lingers in the finish with some grainy huskiness and grassy and herbal hops.

Other than it's taste, I found Aris to be a very average bottle of beer. Certainly an improvement over many beers I have tried, but nothing to write home about, per se.
This brew pours absolutely clear and yellow, with perhaps a few whisps of medium gold that eventually comingle to form an off-white head that fades at a medium pace. Aris smells of sweetened fruit, and its aroma is rather weak. This beer starts mildly hoppy with a little sweet twinge. It is medium-bodied with crisp, refreshing, and fairly light flavors. Aris rolls off the tongue smoothly, but it leaves a mildly unpleasant aftertaste that isn't particularly noteworthy at first, then it never really goes away. i was able to taste Aris for hours after i finished my bottle. But hey, at least it wasn't a repulsive reminder. If ever i need beer in Greece, i'd be willing to drink Aris again.

Beer reiew from mid-December 2010: pours a clear yellow color with a 2 finger snow white cloudy head that faded slowly and left very good lacing sticking to the sides.
Smells of sweet malt, grains, caramel, grass and wheat; very typical Euro lager odor that's nice, crisp and sweet.
Tastes of sweet malt, light grains, caramel, grass, citrus hops, lemon and wheat; typical Euro lager taste as well that's light, crisp and refreshing. Above average and very drinkable, it went well with my Mousakka.

Poured from a green 11.2 oz. bottle. Has a light golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is slightly skunky, grains, just a touch of sweetness. Taste is crisp, grains, malts, mild yet refreshing. Feels light in the mouth and overall is a decent beer.

When I saw the beer was from Greece, I knew I had to give it a try. Poured a pale yellow Color (Macro lager??) with an enormous white puffy head. Smell is slighly of malt, but nothing else. Taste is not unpleasant but is thirst quenching. Finish is a slight dryness but very difficult to discern. Nothing special.

Poured into pint glass.
A hazy pale yellow/gold color with a medium, rich head that did last.
Smell of a very slightly skunked pale ale. Hops and grain, with some lemongrass and sweetness.
Taste was a bit of skunk as well, but nothing intense. A bit more lemon and butterscotch in the finish. Some malt and hops. Crisp. Pretty good cold.

Clear golden with a good head.
Smell, grainy with green-bottle skunk. Ugh.
Tastes nothing like the smell. Sweet and mild. A bit of corn? No hops.
Mouthfeel all right.
This is not half bad. Nothing I'll go out of the way for, but it's drinkable.

Pours golden with some tiny bubbles and a short lasting white head.
The aroma is fairly neutral, with a slight bit of florals and honey.
Malty taste and smooth, soft mouthfeel, light flowery notes and sweet malt are present. Actually, this isn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be considering the origin and the doom of the green bottle. Desc.

Tried this from the bottle at The Happy Greek in Columbus, OH. Not much of a beer selection there, so I thought I'd give this a try. Poured it from a 330ml bottle into a chilled pint glass. Looked like a typical macro lager. Pale, foamy light head. Some sticky lace.
Typical macro smell. Some light malt and skunky hops. Tastes similar to bud or miller, but a bit of a sweeter malt taste. Mouthfeel is light. Carbonation is adequate for the style.
This a decent American Macro Lager. Nothing really special to seek out.

12oz green bottle into a pilsner glass.
Aris pours a pale golden hue with a decently-sized cap of bone-white head that retains well thanks to an abundance of carbonation streams. Aroma is rife with sweet corn and rice, with a slightly skunked note to the hops. White pepper and grain husks linger in the background.
Surprisingly, the flavor isn't half bad given the style. Unassuming backbone of crystal malts support a solid hop presence of fresh cut grass, dehydrated orange wedges, and clover. Mouthfeel is exceedingly crisp and well-carbonated, as the light body serves the style well, making this a fairly drinkable Adjunct Lager. All in all, a serviceable beer that I'd probably reach for over many BMC products. Still, I guess that's not saying much...

Appearance: Very pale yellow. Decent carbonation, but the foam is above average, and the lacing is definitely good.
Smell: Sweet corn. Sweet hops. Sweet beer.
Taste/Mouthfeel: Sweet, yet drinkable beer. Thin-bodied also. It's a weird taste/feel combo.
Drinkability: Not too thirst-quenching. It's not bad though.
Overall: A decent beer.

Not a bad little lager. Dark gold body with something of a white head and smidgeon of lacing. The nose is mostly of malt with slight accents of a adjunct, but not too bad. Decent taste and clearly refreshing when a little warm weather beer is the right thing for a lazy afternoon. Crisp finish and easy drinkability.

I had a bottle of this at my local Greek restaurant. I'm always looking to try new beers and I've never had a brew from Greece before! I expected it to be a light lager, and it was.
I would classify this beer as a Euro Pale Lager instead of an American Macro Lager, however. The bottle says it's brewed with malt, hops, water and yeast. No adjuncts, which I consider a hallmark of the Macro Lager style. Also, the hop aroma was much more pronounced in this beer than in US macros.
It looks pale, with a foamy head. The smell is of noble hops, though light.
The taste is average and balanced. Light but far from flavorless or watery.
Mouthfeel is light, just as expected.
Overall this is just an average beer. Good for quenching the thirst and not much more.

I poured this beer into my waiting tumbler at 50 degrees. The beer was a very light or white colored beer. The head had really fine bubbles but did not impress me with longevity. The beer smelled skunky and tasted a little the same way so I was not real happy with that. I will not buy this beer again.

Poured from bottle into pint glass.
A: Straw light coloring, decent head that quickly dissipated. High carbonation apparent.
S: Strong sweet malty tones coming from the nose which not much else to balance it out.
T & M: Pretty standard lager, balance is definitely more to the malty side, finish is on the sweet nice. Not much crispness and the high carbonation from the appearance is not apparent.
D: Drinkable but nothing special. Strange in that I've only seen it in the Metroplex in singles.

I was given this bottle by a Greek friend of mine who said they serve this at the Greek restaurant he frequents. 11.2oz green bottle with a production date of 10/19/11 stamped on the back label.
The beer poured a clear pale gold color and made 1 finger's worth of bubbly white head, but the head dissipated in mere seconds and it left no lacing behind as I drank it.
Slightly skunky and slightly sweet smell.
Mostly tasted of grain (corn) and sweet malt with a touch of hops for balance but with very little bitterness.
Light and crisp with the perfect amount of carbonation for the style.
Nothing to get excited over, but very drinkable.

6/3/2005 $3.00 11.2 oz 5.00% Best by 6/05 clearly marked on bottle.
Appearance:
Pours a clear pale yellow in color with tight carbonation leading to a thin white head.
Aroma:
Crisp and clean, though presence of either corn or rice is definitely detectable in this one. No hops to speak of, with some weak malt presence.
Taste/Mouthfeel:
Reminiscent of a bud. Corn was not listed as an ingredient, though it tastes like it is. A definite thirst quencher, and goes down easy, but this is not a beer to seek out. No real redeeming flavor characteristics, just tastes like your average macro.

Pours macro yellow with a white head. Not as clear as some other macro lagers. Aroma is standard macro but a little sweeter. Flavor is lots of corn but the sweetness is still there. Hops are not present in the flavor. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Not a terrible beer, but not much going on in the flavor or aroma department.

Fizzy head that dies to a single layer of minute bubbles. No lace at all. Surprisingly cloudy. Golden color (at least it's darker than straw).
Mostly grainy smell, but it doesn't have the usual adjunct weakness of a macro. No hop smell sadly.
Very spritzy but relatively rich for the style. Unbelievably sweet with lots of caramel. Short aftertaste. No hop! Some lingering alcohol.

The beer poured crystal clear pale golden straw. The head was white and lasted well to lace the glass.
The aroma was malty with Saaz hops present in the nose. Very slight DMS (vegetal) aroma grew to very noticeable as the beer warmed and the head fell.
The flavor was not crisp with a definitely cooked vegetables flavor in the background.
The finish was slightly above dry and slightly fruity/vegetal into the aftertaste. The body was medium.
When I first opened the bottle I thought we might have a winner. As the beer warmed I was saddened to find we did not...
