A: Looks like every other mass produced light lager.
S: light malt aroma.
T: Skunked but what could I expect from that green glass bottle.
M: light mouthfeel - just like out own AAL
O:I was at a Greek restaurant that I enjoy. Next time I know to order the wine!

Went to some Mediterranean tapas bar in Baltimore with very little beer selection, so decided to try a Greek beer, something I've never had before.
Light fizzy head fades instantly, crystal clear watery pilsner color.
Nose light unhappy sulfur lager, light skunk as well, light toasty pilsner like, little fruity, faint straw pilsner.
Taste starts with toasty pilsner, light straw and grainy husk, very light sulfur lager but the skunk is not really there until the finish. Light hop grassy and slightly minty. Finish adds slight skunk, light minty grassy hops lingering and touch of sulfur.
Mouth is lighter bod, decent carb.
Overall typical "imported premium-like pilsner", light skunk and sulfur, husk, typical pilsner characters, etc.

Pored into a 16 oz. goblet. Pours a bright golden color with a small, foamy head. Smells of grassy malts, bread. Taste is sweet Munich-type malts with mild, herbal hops. Clean, crisp carbonation with a light body. Nothing special, but very drinkable. A good summer-time lager.

A finger of head on a clear, golden colored body.
There is a faint aroma of grain. That's all.
The initial moderate bitter taste goes to a lemony sweetness. Not great, nor horrible.
Crisp texture with moderate carbonation and light body.
A below average euro pale lager but not the worst.

A good lager is what this is. From the green bottle we get a transparent honey colored bubbly with a head whiter than Santa's beard. The smell is refreshing, yet not over powering leaving the nostrils in a mystery after tracing pieces of hops in the air. I get a long finish with this brew and content with the massage tracing my throat. A lager is a lager, but this one is above the grain. It is a mystery how a country can deal with fiscal responsibility, but it is not a myth that the Greeks can fathom a few feathers of thought toward providing a brew worldwide.

Mythos has a medium, slightly off-white head, and a clear, golden appearance, with some bubble streams and a very minimal amount of lacing left behind. The aroma is of rich, sweet, and full barley malt and a slight hop zing. Flavor is of sweet, sugary malt, light biscuit, grassy, and mellow hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Mythos finishes semi-dry, crisp, refreshing, and supremely drinkable. Could this be the best lager available? Possibly. It’s awesome!

A - Pale and clear yellow-gold topped with a thin but nice looking cap of white foam. Nice lace for the style.
S - Skanky dank skunk butt. Wheew-wheee! I could smell the skunk from arms length when I cracked this one. Still a month to go before the "enjoy by" date on the back label, so no excuses for this.
T - Chewy caramel malt and astringent grassy hops. Complete turn around from the nose. Finishes with a nice flourish of grassy-lemony hops.
M - Light bodied, well carbonated, thirst quenching. Finishes extremely dry.
Smells terrible, tastes pretty good. A drinkable warm weather brew for warm climates.

Poured this Euro Pale Lager from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. 2nd attempt at a Greek Lager...Poured a cloudy golden yellowish color, produced a small white head, poor retention and left minimal lacing on the glass. The aroma consisted of grain and the classic Euro Skunk. Light in body, this euro pale lager had a foundation of malted grain, then dominated by the "Skunk". There is some citric hop flavor at the finish- which is also dry. Overall, its the better of the two Greek beers that i tried but not something I would ever order again. The Greeks should stick to the Pitas and the Gyros. Prost!

I can only get this when Greekfest comes to town every year, but I do always get it. It definitely has a green bottled beer taste to it.
Light, crisp, sweet, honey, lager. It pours pretty light, without much carbonation. And what little head it does have, dissipates pretty quickly. Fortunately that doesn't effect the flavor, because I do like it. It's nothing special, but overall it's good to drink. Especially on a hot summer day, or at Greekfest.

A - Pours with a small head of white foam on top of a clear, straw colored body. The foam settles quickly and leaves light lace on the glass.
S - Light honey and grainy malt. Some surprisingly strong herbal hops.
T - grainy malt with a light honey flavor and some spicy hops. A sighted malty finish and lingering grainy cereal notes.
M - medium body, moderately high carbonation, and a slightly sweet finish.
D - not bad, it is a pretty standard euro lager with a watered down pilsner flavor. Better than bud, but not great.

Nothing extraordinary about this beer. It is your typical lager, not as bitter as one would expect but it does go well with Greek food. I would drink it over an amstel or heineken. The color is a bit darker than your average lager and the flavor is a bit fuller but average overall.

Pours pale straw in color, very transparent, with a healthy white head. Vigorous carbonation can be observed frolicking throughout. Aroma smells of cheap beer and some skunk. Flavor is so mild that it's difficult to discern what's there. There's probably some variety of grain, a little alcohol, and maybe some hops. The tongue experiences the carbonation more than anything. One of the lightest beers I've ever tasted, and that's saying something living in a country that's filled to the brim with light beers. This is a rare case where simply trying a single bottle feels like a complete waste of time, though I'd be lying if I said I didn't consider this might be the case when I bought it. I guess there's a reason Greece isn't known for its beer.

Poured a straw yellow with a small white head.
The smell was very faint, a little skunky with a touch of earthy hops.
The taste was decents, sweet malts with a bit of hops thrown in.
The mouth feel was light and quite well carbonated and crisp.
Overall a decent enough lager, refreshing and thirst quenching. Its a slightly above average euro lager.

A = yellow and clear with really nice 2 finger billow head
S = slightly skunky and just like any other Euro Lager I've had
T = again fairly generic Euro Lager. Crisp and refreshing but very generic.
Mouthfeel - watery and slightly drying on the pallet leaving me thirsty
Overall - If your not in Greece on vacation, there really is no need to buy this beer anywhere else.

Pours a clear golden color with two fingers of white head.
This could be the most skunked beer I've had the privilege of trying; it hits you like a punch in the face as soon as you crack open the bottle. The skunk aroma is all I'm getting.
Bready and grain notes with an almost butterscotch note.
Very slick with lower than anticipated carbonation and a medium body.
Interesting body on this beer, but not in a good way. I wouldn't go near this one again.

330 mL bottle purchased as a single; production date April 22 2011 so this is probably getting a little old.
Pours a bright, clear golden-yellow colour, with a little less than one finger of foamy white head seated atop the liquid. It takes a few minutes to dissipate, leaving behind some smears of lacing on the sides, and finally an even, soapy cap on the surface. The aroma is not nearly as skunky as I was expecting, although it's still a noticeable factor. Beyond that, there is some grainy barley, vegetal notes and some grassy hops rounding out the nose.
The taste starts off fine - bland like most Euro lagers, but fine. Pale malts impart a grainy, slightly sweet flavour, with some grassy, herbal hop bitterness as well. The bad part comes in the finish, which combines wet cabbage with a weird, off-putting metallic taste. Thin bodied, pretty watery, with a solid bite from the carbonation. Pretty crisp-tasting, and refreshing enough I guess.
Thoroughly uninteresting. Are the off-flavours a product of the bottle's age (roughly 8-9 months) and the green bottle? Maybe, but the green bottle isn't my fault and either way this is a pretty lame Euro lager, a style that I am usually more than lenient with.
Final Grade: 2.85, a C. This is far from the worst beer I've ever had, and a fresher sample might prove more enjoyable... but this is not something I will go out of my way to try again. A brew most people would probably be better off skipping.

Tasted On: 12-17-2011
Freshness: Best by 05-2012
Packaging: 330 ml green bottle
Glassware: Pilsner glass
Purchased: Single from World Market
A: Light golden color, clear, with lots of bubbles in the glass. Head of 4+ fingers is white and creamy. Both head retention and lacing are very good.
S: Light breadiness from the malts, subtle fruit notes and pilsner-like hop aromas.
T: Crisp and clean lager, with a good balance of sweetness and bitterness. I do pick up some astringency as the beer warms.
M: Body is thin with a moderate level of carbonation. Finishes dry with some fruit flavors.
O: Clean and refreshing, I thought this was a decent lager.

Pours yellow with a small, quickly fading head.
Nose shows hay, grainy malt and faint spicy hops. Quite plain.
Some hay and grainy malt as flavours too. Quite sweet, very little bitterness, which makes for a cloying finish.
Too much carbonation.
Pretty boring.

A- Clear, medium golden. Head is thick and white. Lasts a bit better than the average of this style.
S- The aroma is not good. There is some light hop, but otherwise it has the really off aroma that is somewhere between old grain and wet paper.
T- Only a flash of off flavor. There is a grassy flavor and a sweet grainyness.
M- Light body, slightly foamy in the mouth. Slightly dry finish.
O- It's a generic pale lager. Not much better or worse than Heineken et al.

A decent beer with a pale appearance, moderate head and lacing. Light Czec style pils aroma. Clean malt taste with sazz type finish. Light feel with a crisp finish. A nice lawn mower beer and a good one for large barbeque as it is clean, crisp and refreshing. Not the one to grab for a night of flavor exploration but hey there are plenty of those as well. A good step above BMC style brews.

A 500ml green bottle with a BB of March 2012. ABV is stated as 4.7%.
Poured into a Guinness pint glass. A clear straw yellow colour with medium carbonation and some floating sediment. Yields a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a couple of minutes. Aroma is weak; some light nutty malt, a fleeting hint of cooked leaves and a whisper of solvent.
Tastes of light malt with a faint bitter finish. Subtle notes of stewed leaves with a background hint of solvent. Hop character is non-existant. Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly, with slight astringency. Almost no aftertaste - a ghost of light malt.
A bog standard macro lager - OK for a hot climate. Taste could be cleaner, but this probably isn't a problem if it's served cold. There are plenty of better beers out there - pass on this.

Mythos Lager, ABV: 4.7%.
500 ml bottle, 16.90 SEK at Systembolaget.
A: This beer has a pale golden-coloured liquid, and a pretty decent white head that leaves some lacing.
S: A neutral aroma, all-in-all, but I get some doughy white bread, and hints of citrus fruits.
T: The taste is quite neutral, as well, with some smaller notes of malt, bread, and lemon. Nothing bad, though, no off-flavours.
M: I feel some body, and some bitterness. It's light, but not too light - it still got some crisp. Extremely drinkable, and smooth.
O: This is a favourite for Swedes vacationing on any Greek island, and it's easy to see why - it doesn't intimidate anyone - here's no skunk, and you could drink loads of it by the pool. Right now it's doing me good after a long day of Swedish summer - the only thing missing is a great Greek salad with a lot of olive oil and feta cheese.
