You can't do a beer run in Buffalo without stopping at PG. They have an amazing variety of craft beer and the best part about it is that you can make your own 6 packs out of everything they have on the shelves. They have a great selection - Sierra Nevada, Troegs, Victory, Stone, Lagunitas, Great Lakes, etc. A decent selection of bombers too.
My only complaint is that they don't replenish their stock often enough. In my few visits there I constantly find that they are out of a bunch of the beer that I want or they only have 1 or 2 bottles left. A good amount of their inventory is limited to a couple of 6 packs - max.
It would also be ideal if they kept perpetual inventory and updated their inventory on the web site more frequently than then do.
But overall, a great place to buy craft beer and a place I never skip when I visit Buffalo.

Stopped here over the holidays on Thanksgiving and Christmas when visiting my parents south of Buffalo. Consumer's is closer to us but based on the ratings here I decided to check this place out.
I was extremely impressed with the selection they had here. They had a great selection of not only American and imported craft beers but also some decent vintage beers. I made the trip to mostly find things I don't get in VA but found myself buying things VA got a few years back. They had Stone VE's back to 07 and Bigfoots back to 07 to name a few.
From the ones I was looking for that I don't get in VA they had Middle Ages including Dragon Slayer, decent amount of Ithaca but no Brute, several Fantome ones, JW Lees harvest vintages, several JP beers, St. Somewhere, Great Lakes, BrewDog, and some Southern Tier ones that I haven't seen in a while.
I thought I had pretty good stores in NOVA but this one beats all of them easily. Maybe it's because everything good might sell so much faster in NOVA I don't know. 090909 sold out in minutes at my local store but they seem to be able to keep multiple vintages in stock.
I've been to a decent Consumer's location as well and while good they lack the import depth and vintage selection that Premier has.
Can't say much for the service, I didn't ask for any help but there were people there if I needed it. They were busy with other customers and they sounded knowledgeable from the interaction I overheard.
I plan on making a trip to this store every time I go to Buffalo now.

Wow, what a place. Have never seen so many beer aisles in my life. Beers from all over the globe in this place. And I was just going for American craft beer. They have it in sections of State. Very good prices, cheaper then Village Beer Merchant for the most part too. Great stock from Cali and Colorado. Picked up some Great Divide, Bear Republic, Green Flash, Stone and more. Tons tons more there. So many great breweries available there. Real lack of Michigan breweries though. A little surpised there. But everything else makes up for it. The one worker dude seemed to know a lot about beer that was helping other customers. So if you are in the area, definately stock up. Great selection, and a reasonable price for the most part.

I can only wish for Premier Gourmet to be closer to Rochester. It's not just a beer store, it's actually a grocery store with an amazing beer selection. On with the review...
Excellent quality and selection. They have all sorts of vintages and select craft/imports. I recently bought a bigfoot vertical from 2007-09 and Nogne O Dark Horizon 1st Ed. All kinds of stuff from Fuller's Vintages, Harvey's, Thomas Hardy's, SATB, etc... Beers of the World has a shitload of beers, much more than here. But almost every single beer here is tasty. And most of their beers are cheaper than BOTW by $0.50-2.00.
There is a dedicated employee (I forgot his name) who is in charge of the beers and can point you in the right direction if you have any questions. Very knowledgeable and friendly.
Even if you don't go there for the beer, go for the excellent coffee, cheese, and meat selection.

Great bottle shop on the north end of Buffalo, which should be able to satisfy most needs. More beers than the Village Beer Merchant further down Elmwood, but not necessarily of a higher quality. Regardless, there's some great stuff to be had here, and a huge selection from all over the world.
They keep an inventory online, so look the store up - it can tell you far more than I ever can.
Staff are friendly, but there didn't seem to be anyone in the beer area. Prices seemed okay, although a lot of things can be had cheaper at Consumers.

What a great place. Wine/booze on one side and a wonderful selection of beer on the other. I could spend hours telling you about how great this place is but since everyone else has already done that, why bother. All you need to know is that Premier has pretty much any beer that you could want, foreign or domestic. They also have a great selection of belgians, NY, East Coast and West Coast beers. Most are singles and/or bombers with some sixers mixed in her and there. Plus they even have some growlers (pre-bottled in a cooler in back).
The employees are usually quite friendly and helpful and I've chatted with a couple for quite a while as I was wandering the aisles.
Premier also has some high end food products (sample their cheese selection, its wonderful).
I really cannot say anything bad about Premier except that the beer is kind of pricey. But you pay for quality and they have it.

I've been dying to go to this place and I finally went today. The selection was awesome! I spent 40 minutes there and only got a sixer of assorted singles. I wish they carried some more west coast beers, particularly from Oregon, but that's minor. There was no employee in the beer section, but I knew what I was looking for. I thought it was a bit pricey, especially for some of the foreign beers, but hey, where else are you going to get some of these beers? The cashier was friendly and nice at checkout, topping off a great experience. I'll be going back.

Took a trip down to Buffalo to visit this shop with my girlfriend. I was like a kid in a candy store when I went in there. Unbelievable selection. Makes the Beer Store in Saint Catharines look like a shamble beer hut. A great selection of American, Canadian, as well as overseas and Mexican beers. Picked up a ton of stuff here, glad they had a few empty six packs to carry the singles. Haven't had too many American Craft/micro brews, so I stocked up on those singles. This place was great, love the arrogant bastard i got, the harpoon levithian, and others. My only complaint is that in my fury to grab 12 beers that I had never tried, I accidentally didn't check one or two of the bottles and the best before was two months before I bought it. Oh well. a great experience overall. I poor, so I'm not sure of the pricing. I got 10 single beers - mostly American, and a bomber and it was like 28 bucks. It hurt, bu the delicious beer was worth it. Will definitely be back.

This is the place to go in the Buffalo area. They have everything broken down by country and for the U.S. they have it broken down by state. Nice selction from Colorado, California, Pennsylvania, New York, New England states, Ohio...and many others.
Huge Belgian section...nice German...Irish...British...Canada selection. They even have some from China, Brazil, Finland, France, Chile, Scotland.
They also have some growlers filled from the local brewery.
The best selection in Buffalo beating Consumer's easily.

Premier Gourmet has been a must stop the last two years during my Thanksgiving pilgramage to Buffalo.
I picked up a ton of Great Lakes Brewing stuff (can't get in Mass). Some of the GLBC stuff was a bit older but that was Ok with me. I was more than happy to find a 4 pack of the Blackout that was a few months old. Great selection of Belgians. I picked up some rare DeStruise beers and some DFH I cannot get in Ma. They also had various vintages of certain beers. I picked up a 2006 Old Stock ale and a Stone XI.
The staff was great. I ended up talking to two of the beer guys there for 1/2 hour. Getting reccomendations of local stuff and discussing the Western NY beer scene.
The pricing was reasonable for what they have.
Great store. Aside from the great beer selection they have tons of food related gourmet things.
I would highly reccomend this place. Is this the best beer store I have ever been to? Probably not but it is in the top 5.
