took a trip up to sarasota to find some brew. this was the first stop on the list.

went i walked in i was greeted right away and asked if i need help.i said i was just looking so they left me alone...after looking around for awhile a worker must have spotted my sierra nevada shirt and pointed me to the micro brew section. selection was fairly small but there was some good picks in there. decent import selection as well.

they looked to be doing some inventory and there was a couple cases of beer in the back that might find themselves to the shelf soon so maybe ill check it out again next time im up there.

Stopped in tonight to stock up for an upcoming beer tasting. Selection is, shall we say, concentrated. There was only about 6' of shelf space for beer, but almost all of it was good quality micros. There were a few Begians mixed in there too.

Service was friendly and competent but slow.

Prices were average for the area. $8 for a Dogfish Head World Wide Stout got my attention, but $1.60-$2.35 for single micros is about par.

I'm sure I'll stop back again, but hope the selection increases. The fact they carry mostly American micros is nice, but one thing I wanted was a Bavarian Weizen and they had none of any brand.

Neil, formerly of Blackburn Point Liquors, may it rest in peace, has joined the team here and is trying to expand their once meager beer offerings.

He's got more than 30 craft beers in stock, most are shelved while some are chilled. Belgians and American craft beers make up the majority.

The service is one of the best reasons to go here. Neil knows beer and is only too happy to help a customer. He's even put up BA shelf talkers on some of the beers.

If you're near Westfield Shoppingtown Sarasota (formerly Sarasota Square Mall), drop in here and grab some brews.
