12Oz can poured into a tulip glass
A- Pours hazy orange with a foamy two finger head that lasts til the bottom. A classic looking IPA
S- A sweetness from the malts but this is all about the hops. Good citrus notes mainly pineapple and mango, a little bit of pine. A delicious smelling IPA, not too strong in smell but very sweet and fruity.
T- A lot of fruitiness in the beer along with the bitterness. The beer is sweet and thick enough to keep the bitterness in check. The hops are pretty strong but not not quite overkill. A good bit of pine as well as a variety of citrus flavors. Somewhat of a metallic quality with the bitterness, possibly from the can.
M- Good carbonation, a lot of bitterness that prickles the mouth a bit. Metallic and fruity aftertaste. Full feel and pretty smooth.
O- This is a good IPA that has a good feel and taste and is sure not to disappoint. It is held back by a metal quality/ taste I detected and a lack of power from the hops. I recommend this beer but I cant say its worth the 16$ 6 pack price tag when I can get Ruination or Hopslam for 17-18.

My new favorite IPA which continues the awesome trend of canned microbrews. Pours a nice head that sticks to the rim. Smell has a hint of citrus (pineapple/orange) but doesn't over power anything. Tastes great with plenty of hops but not too bitter. Priced right as well.

Appearance was light, clear with a small small head which is surprising since I had just vigorously poured it into a cold glass from the can.
Smell was very good. A hoppy fresh scent that was just what I want an IPA to smell like.
The taste left me wanting. Not very complex.
Mouthfeel was also a little lacking. The smell had my mouth prepared for something better.
Not a bad beer. Not a beer I would go out of my way to find.

Poured into a snifter. Got this from a great BA, thanks Scotchboy!
A: Pours to a nice amber color, with around an inch of white fluffy head.
S: Has a nice citrus nose, with a little malt poking through.
T: It's got a nice grapefruit-citrus flavor profile, with the bitter hop bite on the back. Malt comes slightly out at the tail end. Not super bitter, but a nice bitter bite.
MF: Carbonation is pretty solid, with a drying finish to it. A little on the slick side too.
O: Very nice IPA from Oregon, definitely enjoy the hop profile on this one. Daniel hooked me up with a treat, thanks again bud!

Review from notes.
A: Pours a copper.amber color with a small off-white head with decent retention. Sticky lacing forms up the sides.
S: Strong aroma, lots of pine and citrus fruits, mostly grapefruit. A little bit of caramel malt.
T: Very nice tasting IPA. Similar to the aroma in that there is a lot of citrus fruit and pine going on. There is a bit of biscuity malt underneath the hops and some caramel on the finish.
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Not overly bitter, pretty smooth.
O: An easy drinking IPA, solid flavor profile.

Poured from a 12 oz can | $10 for sixer
Turned onto this this by my local WF beer guy, thanks Trev!
A : clear, reddish, light copper
S : apricot, pineapple, citrus, some pine.
T : Full flavored and well rounded, west coast with a tad more malt backbone. Hop bitter front and finish, grapefruit and more citrus, dried apricot middle.
Overall : Juicy and well balanced. A bit more of a midwest flavor than some of the other west coast ipas. Every sip leaves me wanting more. Very, very nice IPA and is in my current rotation along with Sculpin, Inversion, Red Chair. For $10 a sixer its a no brainer. Underrated.
Cheers ~

Attractive coppery amber in the tall snifter. Nice scent of flowery, aromatic hops. Usual cap of foam and decent carbonation in the mouth. Nose of pine and a touch of caramel.
Big hops with lots of resiny and pine flavors. Fairly bitter, but not as excessive as lots of IPAs. Relatively drinkable. Some warm malt along with the earth flavors. Not as dank as some current hoppy beers. Slightly sharp, but has a mellow approach. Light bodied.
12 oz can from Olive Tree Market in Ocean Beach.

A: Another good looking beer. I feel like the appearance category is tough to get wrong. I've gotten pretty good at pouring my beers exactly the way I like them to look. I don't go for the whole two fingers of head. I like pouring my glasses to have 3+ with a dynamic head above the rim. Anyways that's just what I got from this off white foamy head. The color is a rich reddish amber. The clarity is perfect and I mean perfect. It looks basically like looking through colored glass.
S: Big citrus hops. Some spice notes from the hops as well. Pine is present too. Caramel malts again which gives a nice backbone. Past that I get some more raw grains. It smells nice and crisp.
T: The flavors are nice and fruity. Citrus, pine are the usual players. As well as some spiciness from the hops as well. Malts also follow the nose. Caramels and grains. The bitterness is really even and the beer is very balanced. A very tasty beverage.
M: Great carbonation and a smooth/slick body. Tasty
O: I really enjoyed this beer. There are lots of tasty IPAs out there and this absolutely qualifies.

Very tasty ipa in can. Upon warming, hoppiness gets a little metallic. Bitter, resin finish lingers. Malt aroma not a favorite of mine (Munich?) but malt flavors good and dry. This can doesn't taste very fresh, I'll have to score a fresh one. Also curious to see what like in botlle or on tap

Outta the can, into a pint. Good lace, head. Foggy copper.
Citrusy hops, tropical fruit malts, delicious. Balanced for an IPA, but still hoppy. A signature Colorado IPA.
Appropriate carbonation. Crisp. Dry finish. Canned IPA this good is a beautiful thing

A-Pours out a body of orange/copper that held a light haze and sat beneath two inches of creamy, bone white foam that left thin strands of lacing after showing moderate head retention.
S-Soft,sweet citrus,apricot preserves,toffee malt
and some flowery hop qualities with a touch of pine on the finish.
T-More sweet citrus, dried apricots, soft pine, caramelized grains and some raw, leafy hop qualities.Good hop bitterness but a slightly generic malt base.
M-Light bodied with a lasting but moderate bitterness.
O-A good canned IPA.Definitely not a six pack worthy of a $12 price tag but good none the less.

A: Poured a beautiful vibrant and clearish copper with a solid finger and a half of off white chunky head. Head fell to a skim but coated and laced beautifully.
S: Rich and dank with pineapple, grapefruit and sappy pine.
T: The juicy ripe fruit comes on early with more pineapple and apricots. The fruit fades into a chalky bite and then flows into a long bite of bitterness with leafy piney hops. Makes the tongue stand up and leaves an aspirin type chalkiness on the palate. You can tell the malts are fighting for their life but they keep it balanced and punch through with some grain notes.
M: A full version of medium with some sizzling carbonation.
O: Very good. I could kill a couple of these. Thanks to the President for surprising me with this one.

12 oz. can poured into a standard pint.
A - Vibrant bright orange with a medium head. It leaves a perfect sipwise lacing all the way down the glass.
S - Grapefruit is what I get mostly with a sweet malty backbone. Surprisingly, I don't get very many hops in the nose.
T - Grapefruit, grapefruit, grapefruit. There is some sweet malt with that and a bursting hops finish. Pine and citrus aftertaste. Very refreshing.
M - Nice and carbonated. The combo of the sweet malt and tart grapefruit give this a thicker feel than I think it actually has. Dry on the finish.
O - This is one of my favorite beers to drink by the pool in the summer. The combo of the slick yellow can and the citrusy, refreshing taste make it perfect for this. A good beer that I will always come back to.

I picked this up today over at The Beer Dispensary in Apex. It has been a rainy, cruddy day and I just felt like picking up an IPA or four, so here we are. I have never heard of this Oregon brewer so I'm hoping for the best.
I love the color; an electric orange with a cloudy, almost opaque body. The head dies a little early for my tastes and the lacing doesn't look exceptional. The nose is very fruity for an IPA, with grapefruit, pineapple, and the ubiquitous pine.
Plenty of flavor up front here, mostly of the withering hop variety, but something seems a little off and the finish seems to fizzle rather than pop. The mouthfeel is thick and (I never say this) could probably benefit from additional carbonation. Not bad at all, but slightly disappointing. Definitely glad I gave it a try, however.

Poured into a pint glass
A-Clear copper with a substantial head rising to the top of the head. Head quickly dissipates leaving a rather thick lacing
S-Faint citrus notes, somewhat bready, and floral, some sweetness
T-grapefruit, some mild bubble gum sweetness, taste is stronger than the nose a bit of a dry lemony finish
M-A bit dry, thin and crisp,
O-good solid IPA. very drinkable, good flavor with the convenience of a can

Popped the top and was greeted with the most wonderful pineapple/grapefruit smell. It poured a bright clear amber color. The taste was even better than the smell, pineapple grapefruit caramel pine in a can. Thought it had great depth and balance, really good beer and will definitely buy again!

Great looking, clear, dark gold brew with a thick and fluffy cream-colored head. Sticky lacing. Nose is pure pineapple heaven, sweet, juicy, and citric. Smells just about perfect for my tastes.
Flavor follows the nose. A pineapple bomb with a bit more assertive bitterness than detected in the aroma. Subtle sting of onion and saltiness beneath it all. Slightly creamy, medium body with lively carbonation. Lingering aftertaste of pineapple and a little aspirin bitterness. As it warms a soapy, skunky note emerges - skunk weed that is, not "skunked beer."
Holy crap this is a good IPA, I'm going back for more than just the single can I picked up today. Really up my alley - strong fruity flavor, good bitterness that doesn't overwhelm everything, a touch of sweetness with the malt held in check really well. As it opens up dank, resinous, weedy flavors and smells emerge. A pothead's chronic/kind-bud IPA if there ever was one.

Can into a Sam Adams pint glass. No date on the can.
Golden/copper and clear. Nice head. Some lacing.
Smell is peach-like fruit, pine, grass, caramel.
Flavor is earthy and fruity hops, peach, citrus, some pine. Malt backbone is noticeable but unobtrusive. Quite balanced and not terribly hoppy.
Thick mouthfeel, feels much heavier than the ABV, more like DIPA.
Overall this is a tasty IPA. I wish it were dated, because I'd like to know how close to fresh this is. But it's a good balanced IPA, with a nice hop character and sturdy malt backbone.

A - Pours a nice translucent darker orange with a nice finger of off white/light caramel colored head, poured ~20+ minutes ago, still has a nice layer of head. Lacing is dense. Awesome
S - Lots of citrusy hop aromas, a little bit of malty caramel sweetness. Grapefruit and oranges dominate
T - Really bold, bitter and citrusy. Simple but very well balanced
M - Medium bodied at a warmish 50-55 degrees. When cold its somewhere between light and medium bodied. Refreshing, drinkable, nicely carbonated
O - This is a great IPA, can't believe I've never noticed this one before, definitely worth grabbing from time to time

Poured into DFH pint glass. Looks like a nice fresh hop IPA, such as Celebration. Murky orange/copper poured to a half inch creamy head. Love the lacing as it disappears down my gullet...
Aroma wafting toward me reveals all the IPA scents: citrus, pine, with a hint of rising bread.
Many of the previous reviews state a syrupy consistency, and I agree it is syrupy, however, if your a DIPA lover, you won't mind it a bit. Chugs more like a DIPA which I love.
You'll get whacked up front with a nice citrus profile before a light sweet malt and lingering bitterness take over. The bitterness is just right leading you to raise your glass in another slug creating a nice drinkabillity which many IPAs do not nail.
Carbo is a touch soft which is my only knock here, but like I said the feel is heavier like a DIPA
Overall, this is a great IPA and will absolutely have again...

12oz can poured into a chilled Founders pint glass.
A: Pours a dark orange color with a nice white, frothy head that recedes very slowly. Excellent lacing retention throughout the glass.
S: Huge tropical notes up front with grapefruit being the main scent. I also can smell traces of pine and some orange and malt.
T: I taste more orange than the scent gives off. Not as much pine and or grapefruit as the scent had suggested. This beer has a massive sweet malt backbone.
M: A bit too syrupy for my liking, medium bodied and it has nice carbonation.
O: Not what I look for in an IPA and quite honestly for the price not worthy of an elite IPA status IMO.

A: Deep apricot hue with a huge, beautiful, sudsy cream-colored head; lacing is great
S: Lots of wonderful citrus from the hops: peach, mango, pineapple, lemon, grapefruit, and tea leaves with a slightly grassy and grainy malt undertone
T: Hops are a touch more muted than aromas indicated but still plenty of citrus, tea leaves, pine, and weed
F: Quite creamy upfront and finishing pretty well--though a touch thin
O: A nice hop-forward IPA in a can, which you can never get enough of; something I'd like to try even fresher and something I will definitely come back to
