Have visited the Dove a number of times over the years, most recently in July '11
Good range of Fullers beers normally including Pride, Chiswick and Discovery/Lancer, plus a seasonal and Honeydew on keg
Other Fullers beers in the fridge in bottles including the Porter
Great old pub approx 10 minutes walk down the river bank from Hammersmith tube
As you enter there is a small front room at one side of the bar, the main part of the pub is at the rear up a staircase (mind your head!)
Not a massive place by any means and would probably only house 50 or 60 seated inside (if that?)
There is also an outisde terrace on 2 levels that overlooks the river Thames - great place to sit until it rains!
The reason I rated the service low was that on my last visit we eat there and a round of drinks was not delivered and upon chasing this up this still took another reminder and a good 10 minutes or so until the drinks arrived!

This small pub overlooking the Thames is a really pleasant place, with a history of famous clients, and great atmosphere. Its about a 15 minute walk from Ravenscourt Park Tube Station (District Line) adjacent to a riverside park and walk.
Two small rooms at the entrance with a small bar, and a very pleasant out door patio area that looks right out onto the river Thames and Hammersmith Bridge, making a very relaxed atmosphere. Fullers Beers on tap, London Pride, Discovery and ESB at the time of our visit, and the beer we had was first class, though a bit pricey - in common with most London pubs.
A very pleasant and relaxed place with good views of the river from the patio area, relaxed atmosphere make it worth a visit. We did not try the food here, but understand its good, though priced according to the location.

This is an out of the way pub by the Thames, a 10-15 min. walk south of Ravenscourt Pk. tube.
Found it through a recent article by Fred Eckhardt in All About Beer. The Dove was a favourite of Michael Jackson and was about a 20 min.walk from his place.
It's an old, wood-beamed, cellared gem with a couple of small levels and an outdoor patio overlooking the river. There is a fireplace in the lower level and unusual round, copper tables.
The pub fare was excellent with a good menu selection. We had the chicken and beef pies, they were great.
This pub must be tied to Fuller's with Esb, London Pride,Chiswick and Discovery all on cask and in good condition.Did not see any guest casks. The Dove is in the '08 Good Beer Guide.
Although not the easiest pub to find, this is a must visit when in London and worth seeking out.Follow in the footsteps of M.J. and visit The Dove.

I was surprised to see this pub not already listed on the site. Fantastic location right on the river in the Hammersmith section of greater London. Interesting layout. A tiny bar is to the right as you enter, with an even smaller sitting area adjacent. Up some stairs is a larger sitting area with tables, and a couch as well. Fireplace adds to the ambience. Then down some stairs is an atrium like area that overlooks the river. Historic pub that boasts a connection to King Charles II and Nell Gywnne (mistress) Full range of Fullers ale. Very cozy pub. Does not have a non-smoking area. A suggested place to check out.
