It's definitely a trailer, but barring that, the place looks pretty good.
I've never gotten any broken or bad equipment or supplies from them and everything is stored properly.
The staff certainly knows a lot and they happily offer any advice they can, regardless of whether I'm trying to make beer, wine, cider, or mead.
They sell a lot of kits, which is fine, if you just want to use a kit. They have a pretty good selection of raw supplies and plenty of basic equipment, certainly enough to get any beginner started!

Bob, Mary, and the whole staff are true resources who have the experience to know what works and what is not needed. I even get greeted by name when I stop in, and this is every few weeks when I'm ready to brew. Several friends have found the same and have gotten back into brewing since I started dragging them here!
Decent selection of the basic grains required, and a full selection of dry and liquid malt extracts. White Labs and Wyeast, as well as a good selection of dry yeasts as well.
Everyone should stop by and check this place out if you are in the area.

I used to stop in here occaisionally when I lived in St. Pete, it is a bit of a drive if you live near downtown, but centrally located if you are in Clearwater/ Pinellas Park.
They have a good selection of extracts, both canned and bulk, and dry as well. The grain selection is pretty reasonable as well. I stopped buying hops there after I got some that had been repackaged in a ziplock bag. They were kept in the freezer and seemed fine, but hops in a ziplock bag don't really give you a warm, fuzzy feeling and it makes you wonder about the freshness of the other ingredients too. My other major complaint was the yeast. They never seemed to have a great selection of yeast types and it seemed like a lot of the liquid yeasts were out of date.
I always felt like this store was more oriented towards winemakers than home brewers, but the service is good and if you are in Tampa/ St. Pete it's your best option.

I just now got back from a lunchtime trip there. I purchased an imcomplete kit at a yard sale a few months back and wanted to get the rest of the stuff I needed. So I took digital pics of what I did have, loaded them onto my PDA and went in. I asked the guy behind the counter if he wouldn't mind looking at them and helping me out, and while he thought it was a little funny, he was happy to help. He helped me get the rest of the items I needed, but didn't try to screw me out of anything I didn't need. He then helped me get my ingredients. He assumed I wanted a kit, but when I informed him I wanted to make it from a recipe, he pulled out a huge binder and said "pick a recipe". So I chose an Oatmeal Honey Stout. He went around gathering the ingredients and explained how things worked, and threw in a few hilarious one liners at the same time. The highight was cracking my own grain which was about the coolest thing I did all day. Yes, I was just turning a crank handle, but it was still neat.
All said and done, everything up on the counter, and he goes through the recipe one step at a time to make sure I understand everything.
I'm very impressed by this place. I never would have gone there if not for the reviews of the other BA members before me, and I hope that my review encourages others to go there as well.

I stopped in the other day as my racking cane shattered and I needed a new one quickly(read, I can't order it online and have it NOW).
The other cool thing is that this is fairly close to most places in mid Pinellas cty which makes it close to where I work. Brew shack is nearly impossible for me to hit with the traffic.
They have an entire section of the store with folk's brews and wines bubbling happily away.
They have a fairly decent brewing selection but have much more wine stuff. The lady working was very helpful and I would've felt comfortable buying more stuff if I needed it. Ver clean and well organized too.

Located in a moble home. I sorta snickered as I walked in, but I soon stopped. They have a very good variety of homebrew and wine making supplies, ingredients, and resources. They have the experience and the means to help you build a system from the ground up and according to you needs and preference. They gave me some great advice on how to improve my system and to save money. I particularly like that they have a good variety of grains that you can measure yourself and crack on premises. All of their ingredients are fresh and handled with care. They even had some wines already made that I sampled. I assume that they would do the same with homebrew if I were there at a better time. A must visit for all homebrewers when in the area.

I probably should wait untill tomorrow before I review, but I'm bored at work, so I just do it now.
The best homebrew shop in the tampa bay area I have found. If there is a better one, let me know. Brewshack in Tampa is hit or miss, sometimes they have what your looking for, sometimes not. Yesterday they were completely out of light DME. To me thats like a bakery being out of bread. anyways...
Located in a stand alone building on 66th street in Pinellas Park. Big props for the free samples of homebrewed beer and wine from the fridge hidden around the corner. Also they will brew beer and wine for you, or help you brew your own on site. More of a wine place than a beer place, but they stock keep a good stock of beer goods as well. The bulk malt extract is a good deal, and they also keep a decent selection of branded malt syrups as well. Hops and Yeast are stored approprately.
Service is generally excellent. The place has been in bussiness for 20+ years, so they know what they are doing. Just come in with a list, or a general idea of what you want to make, and they will take it from there.
Also be sure to check out their website. very nice.
