appearance: Black as night on the pour but when held up to the light you can see a deep red. Very nice.
Smell: smells like burnt coffee, but not in an awesome way. Not bad, but not my favorite. Something a little funky as well, almost a little bit sour.
Taste: Wow. Far different from the smell. Beautiful, smooth, sweet coffee notes with a slight bitterness at the back that resembles black coffee more than beer. This is just awesome.
Mouthfeel: Medium-heavy in body with better carbonation than I expected.
Overall: I traded for this and was by FAR the most I've spent on a beer (after shipping costs about $9 for 12oz), and it was completely worth it. This is just fantastic.

Best before July 10, 2013. Poured into a snifter.
A - Deep brown hue with a beautiful mocha head. Nice carbonation in this head, good retention with above average lacing.
S - Bitter coffee, semi-sweet chocolate, light dark malts and a touch of caramel.
T -Bit of everything mentioned in the nose with an apparent lack of balance. Tons of good flavor here, just requires calibration.
M - Medium+ body with large carbonation for the style.
O - The booze is well masked and this beer certainly has a unique flavor, although nothing that I will regret forgoing in the future.
