After trying Bengal Tiger and Autumnation from sixpoint, this is my third beer from this brewery.

Typical can serving. This one a longer and thinner 12oz can.

Poured into a glass. Typical amber color, just a tad lighter. Good amount of bubbles that rise through the glass. Head that is over two fingers thick Bubbly, white head, that persists super long. Decent lacing. Excellent stuff.

Smell: A lot of resinous and citrus hops upfront, as soon as the can is popped open. Very assertive hop presence. Smell reminiscent of both wet and dry hopping, with a slight balance towards wet. Slightly dull towards the end, comparatively. Might have withered off.

Taste :Well IBU is its USP. An excellent 103. Serves the purpose. Bitterness is felt upfront more like fresh grassy hops of a wet hopped IPA. Little to no malt is felt. 103 does not feel like it, but it is nonetheless very bitter. A good presence of alcohol maintains the warmth. Very straightforward taste. Hops have a lingering effect.

Mouth feel: Slight improvements can be made here. Oiliness is there but could be increased for a better feel. Seems just a little light. Medium mouth feel. Medium carbonation.

I am not disappointed. It is good enough just for its IBUs and ABV. And it does go beyond that. Top brew. As good as autumnation, much better than Bengal Tiger.

I really like the head on this beer... Great retention, but larger bubbles than I'm used to seeing from IPAs; but the lacing is fairly poor. The aroma is very floral and super hoppy but with a candy-like sweetness behind. The taste is great for the style, but this isn't my IPA. Too much of piney/resinous hop character. I admit that it is well balanced and has the great hop forwardness people enjoy in DIPAs; however, I just can't get into this beer. I find this beer a tad thin for a DIPA too. I do enjoy the hop bite on my tongue. I'll definitely suggest this beer for people who like more pine or resin or earth in their IPAS.

Resin is a fantastic looking DIPA. Huge head, hazy orange body with visible carbonation, it's what I want to see when I pop open a double IPA. The aroma is big and sweet, with sweet tropical hops and sweet caramel malts. The taste isn't quite as sweet as the nose, with some more hop bitterness kicking its way through. It's a balanced bitterness, as the bitter and sweet aspects from the hops are kinda in a tug-of-war the whole time. The mouthfeel is on the heavy side and moderately carbonated, and the drinkability is great. Overall, Sixpoint Resin is a great DIPA.

Appearance: Deep gold with reddish tint and a brownish/dirty head that is sticky
Smell: Caramel malt with alcohol in the background. Not a whole lot citrus and pine, mostly sweet sugar... you can sense that it will be a sticky beer
Taste: Sweet, caramel, sugary, malty, hoppy but not really as much as I would have thought. Compared to other DIPAs its more sweet, creamy and sticky.. good taste, ok mouthfeel with less than average carbonation but alcohol well hidden

Overall: Hard to find anything spectacular in this beer. Its good, I would buy it again but wouldn't seek it out aggressively
